"The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency" recaplet (Episode 4.09): Goodbye season, hello New York

Last night was the season finale of The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency and in previous seasons, I'd be crushed that we have to wait a couple months for more deliciously naughty pseudo-modeling catastrophes but as of right now I'm done.

Find out why after the break!

Not only was this season of JDMA the most boring to date, but it also featured the least amount of skin, homoerotic photo shoots and gay representation.

In the good old days we could count on The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency to feature more butts than an all-male revue, more bromances than Big Brother or Survivor could shake a stick at and some of the best zingers this side of Match Game '76

J.P. and Rodrigo's first date... love at first bite

There was great gay exposure as the show chronicled J.P. Calderon's coming out and foray into dating!  Remember when J.P. and Rodrigo swallowed a hot dog on television ... in front of children?  Good times...

What about Shaun McCarron and Paul Anderson? They were two of Janice's other gay models that were dating but were mysteriously let go before this season even began.

The night we met Martin Richie

This season introduced Martin Richie, our gay deaf friend, but after the first two weeks he was nothing but a blurry figure in the background as the more evil elements of the house took prominence.  Ignorance set the tone this season as homophobia, sexism, and racism took center stage, only to be outdone by the chaos caused when three plus-sized models dared to set foot on Janice's turf.

We saw new hotties like Chandler go from possible crushes to people we'd like to see crushed ... by a piano falling from the sky.  We saw Janice's fight for diversity and inclusion turn on a dime when weight became an issue.  She went from being a slinger of great one-liners to being a hate monger as each episode progressed.  No longer could I laugh at her off-kilter jokes and colorful commentary because I knew her intolerance was coming from a place of disgust.  She went from being a mean girl I used to root for to being the mean girl I want to see shamed in the end.

J.P. opens up about his new role

So what about J.P.?  They've been building up to a big teary encounter between Janice and J.P. all season and finally last night the floodgates opened and what ran out was a new opportunity for J.P. within the agency.  When Janice uproots the agency (and some of the models) to New York next season, J.P. will come on board as the head of their new men's division.

He's struggled with his place in the modeling world since he first stripped down a couple seasons back and I'm happy that he has higher aspirations but I beg of that boy to find a new mentor and a new agency before the horns start growing on his adorable little head and before Janice hands him a pitch fork to poke around.

Is J.P. making the right decision at this point in his career by moving? What did you guys think of this season as a whole?  Were you forever turned off by Janice's heinous behavior or are coming back for another round of abuse when the show moves to New York next season?  Tell us what you think in the comments section below...

I think he should cut his

I think he should cut his losses and get away from this hag -- and I mean hag in every way! She's gone from being funny to being pitiful. I hope this is the end of this series.

J.P is strong willed

J.P is a strong willed person, he will make whatever desicion he needs to make if he wants to leave Janice, but I already see a season 5 of Janice coming as raitings are good for the show, but yes this season was bland and the whole model house thing was a bad idea, I see that it was an attempt to infuse more drama into the show but it failed on that point.

I think it is smart for Janice to move to NYC cause it is the high fashion capital of the U.S but I still think that some of the guys currently in the agency will be part of next season but most of the girls will be gone. I think the majority of the newbies will be cut loose and be looking for another agency which may work out better for them, as most just wanted to screw around and not work.

I didn't like Janie as much this season but she was far more stressed out as that this season was filmed right after the split with peter hamm and she was trying to put the agency on the right track. Yes she was not the funnier version of Janice that we all like but I think most of this was filmed with in a two month period, that and Kehoe was constantly coming back trying to kiss her ass and setting a bad tone for the season, I mean she fired the douche bag and he just kept coming back trying to get 15 more minutes of fame that he didn't deserve.

I still think that this show is way better then America's Next Top Model which is so campy and dumb now, it is just a mockery and also the models really go no place.

On JDMA she actually shows (sans this season) models actively getting a ton of jobs.

I say see what happens next season and if it blows then yeah cancel the show. But if not stick around, and I hope they give J.P a bigger role in the show (not just the agency) as he is a nice balanced person who is just so freaking sexy and smart.

Awwww

The JP-JD moment was touching! I felt very much like JP telling my own mom about big decisions of my life.

I've also missed romantic moments of Rodrigo and JP. JP is very beautiful.

Did you see the hideousness

Did you see the hideousness that was the end of the "reunion special"? JP was cringing and I can't blame him; it was one of the most rude displays I've ever seen.
