Before Barack Obama came to office he pledged to do something about the treatment of gays and lesbians in the military. Of course, Bill Clinton made a similar pledge, and we ended up with the shameful "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy.
Our friends over at 365Gay have a great report out about Obama's (and the Democratic Congress') prospects for overturning the policy, the shift in public support towards lifting the ban, as well as interviews with gay service members who's careers were ruined by "Don't Ask Don't Tell."
