ATWT video clip update: Reg makes a play for Luke

Today on As the World Turns, Luke gets propositioned by Oakdale U's gay student union president slash hot tub enthusiast, Reg. Meanwhile, Noah prepares to move out of the cottage and continues to push Luke away.

Will the persistent Reg convince Luke to go out with him? Or will Noah wise up and give his boyfriend some much-needed attention before it's too late?

UPDATE: As mentioned in comments - there was a problem with sound in earlier, single clip - That has been corrected. All Nuke scenes from Monday 6/16/2008 can be viewed in the two clips below:

    Acting by Van and Jake today was absolutely superb!!!  They finally had a script where their acting abilities shone!!

    up to that point though, its amazing! i can totally see where both characters are coming from, they're both wrong, and they're both right.

    No, you're not the only one, I have that problem too (I'm using opera 9.5, which is giving me massive problems with replying to this board).

    I'm just happy this clip is on dailymotion not veoh, which has put my country on the list of countries where it's not available. Thanks, veoh.

    While I love the chance the boys are getting to show off their acting chops, I'm still not happy about the storyline they're getting. I mean, Luke is asking Noah if he's the love of his life? Seriously? They're both under 20, they should be shagging like bunnies, not going the whole commitment route. In a few years' time, if they're still together, ok, but not after 8 months of 'dating'? Holding hands? Some of those months was Noah pretending to be married to someone else, and now Noah clearly blames Luke for his dad's sudden interest in deep-sea diving (dude, it's a soap. No body=not dead).

    I don't know if the relationship even should be salvaged, let alone if it could be. Even though the writers are no longer relying on kidnapping and Bourne type plots, they still don't seem to have any idea of how to write a relationship between two men.

    Anybody know his name? He reminds me sooooooo much of Kurt McKinney, who plays Matt on Guiding Light--I used to have a huge crush on him, and he's still a hot man:

    Then maybe we'd get rid of Waaaaa-meera at the same time.  This was decent acting today, but the storyline still bites.  Reg seems very stable and doesn't carry all the L Vuitton baggage that Noah brings to the ark.   I wonder, seriously though, if America is ready for a gay coupling that's far more stable than any of the other straight duos in daytime.  This guy Reg is a welcome addition to the cast.  I would like to see more of him [in hot tub or out].

    Wow, I'm glad I watched this.  Seems like a totally different level of writing and directing than over the last few months.  Did someone step in finally to get the train back on track?

    There was actual continuity in the dialogue and real emotional intensity between Luke and Noah.  The actors had something to work with other than stories about kidnapping and jumping into boats.  What a concept!

    Maybe someone noticed how many hits Forbidden Love clips are getting on Youtube.

    Everyone was on their game today. The line writers, the camera men, the lighting, the actors, that also includes the director. I just feel sad, because I loved these characters at one time, when they should have been allowed to shine. Now when they do shine; I mean, they shine, but once I would have dropped to the floor in tears from todays show, but -I'm still numb from the past (like Noah?.)

    Beautiful conflict and beautiful lines wasted on two characters who have never learned to love one another. That isn't soap opera pathos, which I would relish; but it's kinda sad instead. Even at their most dynamic I'm not left wanting, I'm left feeling like I'm looking through one of those windows that everybody on ATWT looks back through.

    The thing is, we are nearing onto the 6 month mark (the attention span) since February 14. And I should let go... Today's show by every one of my marks was spectacular, except for the fact that this isn't a Loving Couple, these are two celibate 12 year old boys trapped in the bodies of 19 year old men.

    Isn't Van 10 times hotter when he plays Luke as an adult, like today, then when Luke is a child?

    and hook up with Reg. That guy's 1000 times hotter then Noah and has the sexual experience every guy's first guy should have. I've never been a big fan of Noah, but these last eps he was just annoying.

    Anyway, this was the first episode in ages that I've watched twice. The last months I couldn't even bother to watch ATWT without playing solitary at the same time, but last night's ep got my full attention again.

    This is the first episode i have watched in ages as the whole Amerra thing was getting on my nerves! And i loved it! Great Acting! Great Writing! Think this could be a turning point for Nuke and i look forward to see what happens next!

    Luke/Van is getting gay-er? i dunno, it looks like it, and although the storyline is getting nicer and on-track i'm really bored with all the shoutings and yelling and teary-eyed-voices. it makes the whole thing look a little bit fake.
    apart form that, well, i think the storyline is getting more interesting...
    (is it possible that Noah become straight again?? a friend of mine said this to me *Gasps* (0.0) omg, that will put on a riot....)

    I've heard that on Oakdale's gay pride event Noah tells Nuke he wants to join the army. So rather back in the closet than back to straight. Oh, heck, what's the difference, hey. They keep finding cockblockers: paralyzed from the waist down, grandma's rules, the green-card marriage and the ICE, Ameera's feelings for Noah, the break-up and Noah moving out of the cottage and into the dorms with a (probably) homophobe roommate, and Luke moving back into the farm instead of home, where - exactly! - we have grandma's rules! And then Noah would want to join the army.

    Luke, RUN to Reg our you are going to spend your life a virgin...

    I have read this too, and I really hope it's just a red herring. Seriously?! Joining the army. Seriously?! I just can't get over it. What, he won't let Ameera go back to Iraq, but he'll go there himself, oh yessireebob! Dear Noah, once you join the army, you can't just leave once you realize what a dumb mistake you've made. OTOH, can't he just go to his recruiter or someone and say, "So sorry, I'm gay!"? Oh, I know 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' is a load of crap (as one guy who was turfed out of the army once said: "If you don't tell, they make you tell."). However, I've always wondered whether getting out of the U.S. armed forces is easy if you're actually gay or lesbian and you decide to tell them that.

    This was the best episode for NUKE in many months.  I like Noah but they've just about ruined the character.  I was actually hoping Luke would make a play for Reg.

    I haven't seen the clip yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if Luke is getting 'gayer' (as a concept, I suppose) - only if that means he's becoming more accepting of himself and comfortable in his own skin...

    Second, isn't tomorrow (06/18) Ameera's last appearance?  WooHoo!

    Reg (from the pic above) certainly looks hotter than Noah! I wouldn't mind him sticking around for a while...
