ATWT video clip update: Don't ask, don't tell, and especially don't listen.
Today on As the World Turns, Noah is in the big city hobnobbing with Army recruitment officers. Leave it to Luke to try and crash the party. And when he fails to dissuade Noah from enlisting, Luke decides to publicly out his boyfriend so the Army won't take him!
Nice try, but those Army recruitment officers apparently work on commission. They turn a deaf ear to Luke's loud and somewhat embarassing shouts of "He's my boyfriend!" Will anything sway Noah from joing the Army? Or will those persistent recruiting officers convince Luke to join up too? Find out in today's video clips after the break. That's What Got Me...
... that the officers seemed to not hear or see the gay melodrama playing out before their very eyes. Wouldn't that be enough to turn Noah away? I'm curious. Since Noah was supposed to be leaving town for good, what did he do with his truck? And where is he going to live? Burning questions.......

this whole Luke and Noah thing is getting just a bit too comical for me - of all that they've been through and the on again/off again merry-go-round they been riding - and not a single kiss......
lol - and especially after Noah stays instead of joining the army, like come on - i can understand Noah being a prude, but Luke?

Nothing about this storyline seems realistic, but.....
It's all we have on US TV other than Brothers and Sisters....At least Kevin and Scotty have a more realistic relationship, still no sex scene though. But we know they have done it and more than once and got married.
I just felt like a big weight was lifted from me yesterday after I watched the episode, via YouTube...I can't stomach watching the entire show...I just watch the NUKE scenes. At least the assinine Ameera/Daddy Dearest storyline is officially over. The writers have promised us a more romantic summer between the boys and it seems the next storyline is about Damien (Luke's bio father) coming back to cause trouble. But at least Luke and Noah will be together to face whatever takes place and that makes me feel good. I really like the chemistry between Van and Jake and as an incurable romantic want to see this storyline continue in a loving way...realism I can only hope for, but this is a soap.
I wish I could share your
I wish I could share your partial optimism about the near future for Luke and Noah, but that quote about a "romantic" summer is from what is clearly one of the worst writers in soap opera history and one who clearly hates to write for Nuke, giving them as little airtime as possible with absolutely no sexuality to their relationship.
Maybe these few chaste hugs (haven't we seen that EXACT same hugging scene like, 10 times!) we have been shown are all that she can muster for a "romantic" gay relationship. I haven't seen any indication, after almost a year of watching, that things will ever be better. I am afraid that two neutered boys in love is all we are ever going to see.

Luke and Noah is in my opinion the best part about ATWT. The chemistry between the two actors is terrific. Off screen I read they are best friends which I think is important. I'm glad the Ameera storyline is finished. With the Colonel you kinda knew where you stood. I'm glad that Luke and Noah will be together (right) when they face the next challenge in their relationship. I've read a few spoilers which don't always pan out that say he-Luke- hears from Damien but they're not sure if the character actually appears. I like the actor who played Damien before so hopefully it will be the same actor if we in fact get Damien back on the show. Luke and Noah together forever.
