- November's Advocate has a piece called "Driving the Gay Market," summarizing Ford Motor Company's past and current advertising practices in gay and lesbian publications. In it, Ford spokesman Jim Cain said, "We haven't ruled out the possibility of doing more targeted (gay specific) ads…" His comments weren't lost on the America Family Association, which is gearing up for a Ford boycott. Ugh. Don't these people have better things to do?
- Speaking of corporate advertising targeted for the gay market... American Airlines this week began running national spots on the Logo network urging viewers to visit American Airlines' LGBT travel website. That makes American the first airline to advertise on a gay cable channel. Go AA!

- What is it with those Lost stars and drinking and driving? Asian hottie Daniel Dae Kim is the latest to be booked for a DUI according to a report in People. The most regrettable part of this episode? Possibly the mug shot, which can be seen after the break.

I guess Daniel is as fed up with LOST as we are.
How can Hawaii be that onerous? Well, I guess the actors are separated from their families for a significant part of the year, unless the families relocated to Hawaii.

i'm an asian living in asia and i dunno why some stuck up straight americans are spouting this gay agenda nonsense? are american gays a cohesive group who aspire for world domination by indoctrinating and corrupting little children into being slutty little heathens?
The religious right
is fighting to return homosexuality and the acceptance of it back to where it was in the 1950's when you were considered sick/perverted/evil if you were gay. They believe that homosexuality is a choice as opposed to heterosexuality which is "normal and healthy" and God endorsed (most scientists agree that sexual orientation is not a choice but a result of complex and as yet not totally understood interactions between biology and genetics). That is why they keep blathering on about the homosexual agenda because they are threatened by our gains in Western society. I am increasingly hopeful that such viewpoints are becoming more and more anachronistic.
The sad thing is there are many gay people who suffer needlessly in the USA because they grow up in an environment (whether it be family or in a broader situation such as school) where the religious right's narrow-minded bigotry still holds sway. Hopefully these GLBT people will find websites such as this one to help counteract the negative messages they are getting.
