AfterElton Briefs: Hitler's take on "Torchwood", big reveal on "Bones", and more!

Hitler's not happy about the demise of Tosh & Owen

In a continued effort to bring you all that is important in the world of gay entertainment and ensure that you are being spoon-fed images of gorgeous, commoditized manflesh, we present the newly-minted AfterElton Briefs. Following the usual assortment of carefully-selected news items, interested readers can find a refreshing pic of a hot man in underwear after the jump. Yes, we're serious.

  • MUST SEE -- Hitler receives intel on the Torchwood season finale via his senior officers. Courtesy of MadameVideoland, it's a brilliant pairing of faux subtitles and a German language Hitler movie.
  • For three seasons, openly gay actor Eric Millegan has played Bones' sweet and mild-mannered Dr. Zack Addy. That's why it was a bit of a shock to fans when the character was revealed to be a villain on last Monday's season finale. TV Guide gets the scoop directly from series creator, Hart Hanson.

  • You might recall Will Wikle as the openly gay contestant from from Big Brother season 5. More recently he's co-hosted Logo's travel program: Round Trip Ticket. Word on the street is he's just been cast as Alan Cumming's love interest in the upcoming independent film, Shifting the Canvas.

    Bones & Eric Millegan

I've watched this show from the very first episode, and it's one of my absolute favorites!  But this season finale.... It's been 4 days....and I still just don't know what to make of it!  I mean, I guess it was good, but still...Zack!?!

When I have more time I have to read that interview you linked to about it...I'm still wondering 'Why?'...

(Was it good how I avoided any specific spoilers in my post?  I always worry about spoiling things for someone!)

    Bones

It was a terrible episode that felt rushed and convoluted and cramped.  They had two huge storylines pushed together in one episode.  They went from Booth faking his death to catch some nameless criminal, which they hadn't even mentioned this guy before or talked about him being after Booth before, to Zach being the Gormogon's apprentice.

From the way that they have shown Zach throughout the show, it was totally out of character for Zach to end up being a murderer.  It's like the writers of the show don't even pay any attention to how the character has been portrayed up to that point.  They basically just said, "here, we need a shocking ending, let's make Zach a killer."  They tried to be shocking just for the sake of being shocking.  It's one of those rare moments when you actually get to see a show jump the shark, which is exactly what Bones did with this horrific episode.

    This is Utter...

bullshit!  I'm sorry but I have watched this show since day 1 and Zack as the Apprentice?  Are you kidding me?  The writers obviously had no other thought processes and were smoking crack before they went to the writing table b/c it's so beyond how this character has been built not to mention the fact that there are several plot holes with this scenario.  So they trade one baby faced cutie (Zach) for another (Dr. Sweets?).

Bones was one of my favorite shows on television and they have absolutely ruined it for me.  This is not good writing, it's not good television, and this is a middle finger to the fans of this show.  Beyond horrific and ridiculous and absolutely shitty.  The writers should've stayed on strike.

    Zack

It was characater assasination pure and simple!  Zack supposedly only thinks in logical terms and then suddenly we're to believe he accepted all of Hodgins conspiracy theories.  And after all that build-up about Gormogon, all we get are a few cheesey shots and no answers.  Completely anticlimactic.

    Torchwood for Hitler and Germany!

Bwahahahaha! Loved the "Hitler reacts to the Torchwood season finale" clip. I had tears streaming down my face from laughter, especially there at the end. Yay, getting one's Janto fix.

    Noooo!

I think I just inadvertedly ruined my season of Bones. We are just a few episodes behind. I managed to turn my burning eyes, but it was too late; the process is complete in my mind. Zach? Really? I love this show, its the right mix of investigative drama and good natured comedy. Oh well...

Loved the Hitler clip, it was hillarious.

Shifting the Canvas is sounding more and more interesting. I hope the work is as good as the cast seems to be.

    That Hitler/Torwchwood

That Hitler/Torwchwood thing was very funny, although I definitely don't agree with the opinion about the season's finale.
I also want to point out that the clip comes from the excellent The Downfall, about the last days of Hitler, and that Hitler is played by the equally excellent Bruno Ganz, whom we often remember for this role as the main angel in Wim Wenders' Wings of Desire.

    Please explain

OK guys I hardly ever watch this show. I've only seen a few episodes and that because of this site mentioning Eric Milligan. Can someone please explain to me who this Gormogon is and why he needed an apprentice. What's his storyline?

From what little i've seen of the Zach character he didn't seem the type to be a killer or help a killer.

This whole thing from the outside looking in reminds me of the uproar over the Beaver character on Veronica Mars being revealed to be the killer in the last epidsode of season 2. It was totally out of his character to be some moustache twirling super-villian. I didn't buy it and neither did a lot of fans. Oh and by the way his character was revealed to be gay at the end too. There seems to be this trent in entertainment of making the villian gay.
