As we go into the Memorial Day weekend, here's a handy shortlist of the biggest stories of the week on AfterElton.com. And to get you into a playful mood, each Friday's final post will feature a pic up top that desperately needs captioning. Each week we'll pick our fave suggestion from the comments and run it in the following week's post. Have fun!

• Check out our interview with actor Ken Marino. He's now playing a gay demon on Reaper but you might know him better from his role as sleazy (yet strangely attractive) detective Vinnie Van Lowe on Veronica Mars.

• Brent Hartinger interviewed hottie and future "It" guy Max Greenfield who is going to smooch Calvin (Paul James) on Monday's Greek.

• This week's Monkey column has a subjective list of the all time best gay movies. This prompted much debate among readers. Head over to the comments section and share your list of fave gay films.

• Readers are not happy over what happened to Zack Addy on Bones, but can't stop laughing at this Torchwood/Hitler movie mash-up.

• Things were popping for John Paul and Father Kieron on Hollyoaks. Ollian didn't appear nearly as much on Forbidden Love as did Nuke on As the World Turns. And we introduced Clara Sheller, a brand new (okay, new to us!) subtitled French show with a gay storyline.

• Smokin' hot actor Marcus Patrick stars in a gay Orbitz commercial and also does a YouTube striptease. Gotta love this guy. Michael Jensen has the details in this week's B.G.W.E column.

• Openly gay writer/prodcuer Rusell T Davies announced he's leaving Doctor Who. Lyle Masaki looks at what it means for queer visibility on the show.

• We investigated why The Cartoon Closet is still in existence after all these years.

• Lyle Masaki's Gay Geek looks at Batwoman and the upcoming fall shows that have his attention.

• Snicks offers up a list of 10 favorite action/fantasy heroines. Cool list, but I see he left off my faves: Electra Woman & Dyna Girl.

• Luke & Noah kissed twice this week! They keep this up and we'll have to retire the liplock clock permanently.

• Japhy Grant offers his take on the California Supreme Court's gay marriage decision on this week's Flaming Politics video blog.

• A&E’s new miniseries, a remake of the Andromeda Strain, has one of the first leading gay characters in a major science fiction film. We speak with the writer about his decision to make Ricky Schroder's character, Dr. Keene, gay.

• Contributing writer Wolfgang Schmitt offers up an excellent primer on the German soap, Forbidden LoveVerbotene Liebe). Turns out Christian & Olli weren't the first gay couple on the show - or even the most popular!
