Avatar of the Week: Han

As you may have heard, AfterElton landed an interview with Gareth David-Lloyd, the actor who plays Torchwood’s Ianto. We put out a submission request for questions to ask the actor and frankly we’ve been overwhelmed by the reponse. Clearly, Ianto has his ardent fans. That got me to looking through our avatar lists and wow, there’s a surfeit of Ianto faces glaring out at me!

So this week we thought we’d do honor to our Ianto fans. Call it Avatar of the Week: the Ianto Jones Edition.

Up first? ItsTheButtonOnTop, a moniker which either refers to directions on how to operate a VCR, or gives guidance on finding someone’s G spot. Either way, love the user name. Love the avatar as well, which finds our Ianto looking quite dashing.

ButtonTop is a 23 year old bisexual grad student in the UK with a literary passion for Oscar Wilde and EM Forster. He (or she) and lists his favorite characters as Ianto Jones & Dumbledore. Surely there’s some slashfic out there somewhere between those two. If you find it send it ButtonTop’s way.

Second up is finksgirl, who is a sixteen year old straight gal somewhere in the U.S.

I ‘m so impressed she’s reading AfterElton.com and not Teen Glamour! Excellent taste, finksgirl, and we’re glad to have you. Finks has very specific entertainment interests: they are Captain Jack and Ianto.

Our hands down winner is Han with his animated gif which attempts to demonstrate how bad to the bone Ianto can be. Why, he’s “Straight Outta Compton” Brilliant, Han.

Han will turn 19 in just a few days. Happy birthday! He was born in the UK but now lives in the States and is currently obsessed with Doctor Who and Torchwood.
