Battle of the Network Gays: January 08, 2010

Every week we pick the gays who we think have made the biggest splash in television (or pop culture in general) and leave it to you, the keepers of the flame, to decide who will be crowned Gay of the Week.
Okay, If you're wondering where a few rather obvious candidates are this week, we think given how much ink has been spilled around here lately over NPH, Barrowman and OLTL's "Kish" these heavy hitters should graciously retire from the battlefield this round and let some other worthy but lesser known candidates vie for the gay of the week crown.
This week's contenders:
- Ugly Betty's Troy (Matt Newton) Marc's hopelessly smitten one night stand thinks he's found his soul mate and is following Marc around while gushing about how lucky he is to have hit the jackpot in the love department on his first time out.

Amanda: Okay, what is up with that?
Marc: If I'd known he was a g-virgin I never would've taken his delicate flower. This is too much responsibility. I have to dump him.
Amanda: No! He's imprinted on you like a gay duckling, If you don't wean him off you slowly he'll die!Troy is certainly a pathetic character, although he's so guileless that you can't help but root for the guy. We just wish Marc would stop being such a jerk to him.
- Real World DC's Mike Manning: The bisexual Real World roomie certainly was busy this week. First, snogging with a female flatmate, then making out with some cute guy he met in a gay bar, and finally meeting with the folks at HRC to discuss an internship. Go Mike!

- Chef Academy's Leo Goodloe. We're really digging Chef Leo's hair and after six episodes he's the only contestant to have a perfect no-fail record.

- Modern Family's Mitchell & Cameron. Wednesday night's episode had Mitch and Cam squabbling over Ferberizing the baby (and Cam!). We especially loved Mitchell's being carried off by the hunky fireman for a sprained ankle.

Vote for your favorite by noon EDT Monday. And be sure to check back next Tuesday on the blog to see which network gay our readers have carried to glory!
