Battle of the Network Gays: April 9, 2010

This week's Battle of the Network Gays features a newly fit fashion designer, a ballroom dancer who used a waltz to speak out on gay marriage, and two sentimental favorites from the soon to sunset Ugly Betty.

More on this week's nominees and a chance to vote after the break!

Ugly Betty's Justin Suarez

Why? When he came out to his family this week by leading boyfriend Austin to the dance floor at his mother's wedding, well it was plain impossible not to get misty.

Dancing with the Stars' Louis van Amstel

Why? The out gay ballroom dancer choreographed a waltz with celebrity partner Niecy Nash that was supposed to depict a 1960's inter-racial romance. Louis used it as a jumping off point to make a heartfelt case for gay marriage. Well played sir!

Celebrity Fit Club's Jay McCarroll

Why? After kicking butt all season, Jay won the individual "fit factor" contest by narrowly beating out Kevin Federline. Jay is now two for two when it comes to winning reality shows. We're thinking he should try out for Survivor next!

Ugly Betty's Marc St. James

Why? For being Justin's ever-supportive fairy godfather. When Hilda kissed him on the cheek in this week's episode and told him he was a good person, well, it made us all proud.

Vote for your favorite by noon EDT Monday. And be sure to check back next Tuesday on the blog to see which network gay our readers have carried to glory!
