Battle of the Network Gays: May 07, 2010

They've competed as a couple before – and won in a landslide. They've competed individually – and also won in a landslide. But this week's Battle of the Network Gays pits a very popular romantic pairing against one another. Let the chips fall where they may. And who knows, maybe splitting the "LuRe" vote will give one of the other worthy candidates a shot at the crown. More on this week's nominees and a chance to vote after the break!
Gossip Girl's Eric Van der Woodsen
Why? He's got a hot new bisexual boyfriend and a long lost Dad back in town trying to establish a relationship. Eric (played by Connor Paolo) had only a few scenes in this week's episode of Gossip Girl, but we were particularly impressed with his intense exchange with dear old Dad (Played by Billy Baldwin):
"Actually I'm gay - so if I were going to go to the gala -
which I'm
not - my date would be a guy named Elliot....
Stop pretending that we have any
kind of relationship."
As the World Turns' Luke Snyder
Why? We love angry Luke! And his Luke's guilt over having feelings for Reid while Noah is in a coma made for interesting viewing. Also, there's this. Houston, we have liplock....

Modern Family's Mitchell & Cameron
Why? Oh, pretty much everything they did this episode. The spritzing Baby Lily to keep her awake, or Cam lamenting the wide ankles that run in his family, to Mitchell chicken wrestling a locked window while on Phil's shoulders – it was all hilarious.

As the World Turns' Dr. Reid Oliver
Why? See liplock above. Also, there's this....

Vote for your favorite by noon EDT Sunday. And be sure to check back next Monday on the blog to see which network gay our readers have carried to glory!
