Cheyenne Jackson to "30 Rock"?

We're trying to get independent confirmation on this, but E Online's Ted Casablanca is reporting that Cheyenne Jackson will be signing on for a reoccurring role on 30 Rock.
Casablanca's sources say Jackson has already begun filming scenes and that an official announcement via NBC should come later this week.
If true, this is fantastic! Yet one more reason to watch my favorite sitcom. Any conjecture on what sort of part Jackson would be playing? I don't quite see him as a new love interest for Tina Fey's Liz Lemon. Perhaps some long lost relation to Alec Baldwin's Jack Donaghey?
