Sarah Ruhl’s Passion Play is epic in pretty much every since of the word. Not only is it being put on by the appropriately named Epic Theatre Ensemble, but it is 3 HOURS and 40 MINUTES of theatricality fierceness. This week, Logo Drama Club, sat down with cast members Kate Turnbull and Nicole Wiesner to talk about the show.
Passion Play is divided into three acts each which take place in a different time period. In all of these acts, the story centers around a community attempting to put on a play about the life of Jesus Christ. From Elizabethan England to Nazi Germany to Ronald Reagan’s America, there is one thing this play teaches us: Backstage shenanigans are universal!
