With a little awards show called The Tonys on the horizon and the rest of the Logo Office in LA for the 2010 NewNowNext Awards airing June 17th on Logo, Logo Drama Club definitely needed to get in on the awards show action. Though “The Clubbys” was a cute name, I think “The Clubby Chasers” does a far superior job of encapsulating the sense of drive and strong motivation present in many theatrical artists today.
The nominating committee and I did our best to represent a wide range of exceptional work from the previous season. However, some may see an unfair trend in this year’s winners towards Musical Revivals… But seriously, what did you expect? I hope you enjoy this look back at some highlights from the season that was. And I’ll see you next week from the red carpet of another, slightly more well-known awards show. Spoiler Alert: It’s the Tonys!
