Gay in the UK video blog (Ep. 17): "A Day in Hand"
For this episode Tim and Ryan are on the streets of London holding hands to celebrate "A Day in Hand," which is the international day against homophobia and transphobia. This annual campaign is now in its fifth year and the boys interview Dave Watkins, the organizer responsible for the event. Also, Tim & Ryan report on the controversy surrounding the Eurovision song contest, two football fans who were recently found found guilty for shouting homophobic remarks at a soccer match, and a new study which showed that British Muslims were far more anti-gay than Muslim communities in the rest of Europe.

The apprentice
Its was straight boy James that thought of marketing Margate to the gays not Howard who is the gayboy there!
Howard wanted to be the project manager but backed down, though I think for the first time he seemed like a decent bloke.
I thought the "gays come to Margate" it was done quite well and James' reaction to the ice cream licking was funny.
Plus I thought they handled the transexual issue well, they didnt make fun which would have been easy to do, but they handled it maturely.
Norton Addendum
Great event!
Thanks for sharing this with us!
Even in Toronto (Canada), it's pretty rare to see two men holding hands. I see a lot of straight couples holding hands all the time. And I see women holding hands too (and I don't even know if they are couples). But for two men, this still very uncommon!
And on Graham Norton, you can't expect him to know everything. It's not like he's a political commentator. It isn't his job to follow world affairs. So probably, if his staff doesn't tell him what's going on in the world, he probably doesn't know. I wouldn't be too hard on him personally. He's an entertainer and he certainly is still entertaining in my opinion.
And as for the Muslim thing, I think everyone wants to be treated with dignity and respect. So the more the British treat Muslims with dignity and respect, the more Muslims will be willing to treat you with the same in return. I have seen this work in Canada!
Here's a video clip of current Canadian MPs (members of parliament) sharing their thoughts on the International Day Against Homophobia:

Representation is great! I don't know, maybe you'll be interested since we do share the same monarch! :)
And thanks again Tim and Ryan! You guys look awesome holding hands! Way to go!
Peace.
