Gay in the UK video blog (Ep. 26): Danyl and Dorset
Ryan has been away to the south coast of Great Britain and shares a video report of his visit to Dorset. Meanwhile, Tim has been squirting blood out of his stomach and strangling people.... for a play he's doing. In news, the guys are excited about the relaunch of the "Some People are Gay... Get Over It" PSA campaign, which will hang 500 panels created by schoolchildren in railway stations across the UK. Also, statistics showing that Brighton is Britain's gay stoner capitol, and Ryan unsuccessfully attempts an Irish accent. In culture news, it's the return of X-Factor and the guys are greatly impressed by bisexual contestant Danyl Johnson. All this, plus the Wino Awards, and the winner of a tea cozy for last week's pop culture trivia contest announced. Check it out after the break!

so you're upset they're not covering Big Brother? :)
I'm not sure which is the sadder commentary on the state of culture these days - that Big Brother is considered culture or that a lot of people still watch Big Brother and do not consider it drivel.
Other than Big Brother, what else do you think Tim and Ryan omitted in their Gay In The UK round-up?
Personally, I've enjoyed their vlogs a lot.

-Begin rant. I can only speak from my own experience but the two times I had to visit hospital in England (don't hate me, I was legally working there) for albeit minor health problems, I found the wait times and service to be NOTHING like the outright lies you hear being peddled over here.
Despite the problems of running any enormous organization (government or otherwise), the one thing I don't hear anyone clamouring for here is the abolishment of Medicare or the Veteran's Health Administration both of which are government run healthcare programs.
The amazing thing is all the hubbub isn't over establishing a universal healthcare program like you have, but attempting to establish an alternative government program to compete with the private insurers. The Republicans have mounted a very successful campaign against it, Democrats can't seem to agree on what the program should be and most if not all of them are in the lobbyist and insurance companies beds. The irony of course is that all of them are provided for with great government healthcare as "our" representatives.
I'd like to think things could change but I doubt it will. Meanwhile those who can pay do, and those who can't go to the ER and cost everyone else more. Sigh.... Meanwhile I pray I can find employment in this jobmarket after I graduate before something goes wrong healthwise. - End rant
