Gay neighbors make their move to Wisteria Lane

Gay couple Bob & Lee (played by Tuc Watkins and Kevin Rahm) moved into the neighborhood on last night's episode of Desperate Housewives. The first neighbor they meet is Susan (Teri Hatcher), and she makes a lousy first impression...

Lee: Bob and I are partners.
Susan: Oh yeah? What kind of business?
Bob: Actually, Lee and I are life patners.
Susan: Oh. OH! Super! I've seen a lot of cable so I get it!

Susan spends the rest of the episode trying to get chummy with them, but predictably, all her efforts only make them dislike her even more. By the end, she has stolen their dog and ruined Bob's two thousand dollar Dolce & Gabbana suit.

It's been awhile since I've watched Desperate Housewives. I tuned in last night just to see how Bob & Lee were integrated into the show. Other than being at the service of Susan's tedious pratfall hijinks, their storyline was slight — but a decent start. I'm curious how the show will make use of these characters down the line. Also curious what others thought of Bob & Lee's introduction.
