Meet Your Gay of the Week: Noah Mayer

Back when we started our little Battle of the Network Gays weekly poll a few years ago, As the World Turns' Noah Mayer was an early favorite and made frequent appearances. In fact, at the height of Nuke mania he must have won the crown nearly half a dozen times.

After a fallow year, the newly-sighted Oakdale resident was back in the running this week and handily took the crown. Some commenters felt that it was the result of unfair "ballot-stuffing." To be sure, Noah benefited from a passionate get-out-the-vote campaign courtesy of fan sites – in particular  jakesilbermann.com and forums.vanhansis.net. But that is well within the rules of this competition, and Noah's (and Jake's) fans are to be commended for supporting their candidate so passionately.

Still, it was an exceptionally strong field of candidates this round. Here's hoping the other guys (Danny, Riley and Uncle Saul) get their time in the winner's circle in the near future.
