News, Reviews & Commentary on Gay and Bisexual Men in Entertainment and the Media

Attention homosexuals: We've captured Eureka Springs!

Great news! According to a documentary now being peddled by the American Family Association, us homosexuals have managed to infiltrate the quaint little town of Eureka Springs, Arkansas — turning it into a literal hotbed of homosexual activity by getting homo-sympathizers elected to its city council, sponsoring an annual pride event, and permitting (non-legally binding) civil commitment registration down at city hall. Also, that new candle shop on Main street is pretty suspect.

Clearly, Eureka Springs is the new Sodom! (Or, as the American Family Association website describes it: "The San Francisco of Arkansas.") Unfortunately for us, this hard-hitting AFA-sponsored documentary tells the story "the liberal media will never tell" and exposes how us homosexual agenda pushers managed to overrun this quaint little Arkansas town — so we can't duplicate that success anywhere else in America's God-fearing heartland.

Curses! Those pesky AFA folks foil us at every turn!

For a suggested donation of only $14.95  (or $49.99 if you donate suggestively for a 5-pack!) Christian citizens can get their hands on what amounts to our sinister gay agenda playbook! The AFA suggests its members watch it at home and then share it with their local church and Sunday school class!

Check out the promotional trailer for the documentary after the break.

    WOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW!!

See it's these types of people that I thought would outnumber the Obama supporters on Nov 4th, but I was proved wrong.

    1.) WTF????!!!

    2.) No seriously, WTF?

3.) If homosexuatlity is only 10% of the population exactly how can they take over an entire town? Wouldn't you need like more people?

    4.) Really?!

5.) *sigh* This is why Luke (NUKE) is always talking about "it's b/c I'm gay isnt it?". These idiots are spreading lies to children, scaring them, and it just hurts to know that that's what they are doing.

6.) I always find it amusing that we never complain about how heterosexuals have done such a poor job on politics, the economy, etc., yet they are quick to jump if one of us, god forbid, does something wrong.

7.) Seriously, what's  wit these people?!

I thought the election results from California and Florida proved there is a clear overlap between "these types of people" as you put it and Obama supporters.

    Yes, but...

I was simply stating that there was a slight chance that Obama was not going to win b/c I thought "these types of people", i.e. idiots and oppressors, were going to look at the color of Obama's skin, and not what he stood for. Just like they are doing with sexuality and homosexuality in the video.

Also, you can't help some of the overlap. People wanted to be able to keep their houses and afford their child's college tuition(obama supporters), but that doesn't mean that they wanted to see two guys get married (yes on prop 8 supporters).

Is it fair, OF COURSE NOT. But that's what protests, boycotts, and the supreme courts are for.

    Obama Himself...

It also does not help that Obama does not want to see two guys get married either.  He is not in the same league "as these people," but it was kind of hard to convince Obama supporters in California and Florida to reject these discriminatory propositions when the candidate they support feels gay marriage is morally wrong.

Sure, Obama may have denounced the propositions as unfair, but when Obama supporters asked me to reconcile these two contradictory positions all I could truthfully say was Obama wanted to please both the bigots and the non-bigots. They saw through Obama's subterfuge, and decided to vote according to what their religion taught them.

I agree their is a great deal of shared bigotry between those that hate people for their sexual orientation and hate people for their race.  The only reason many people reject outward signs of racism in our society today is because they have been shamed into hiding their hatred.  We have to do the same with homophobia.  We may never be able to convince some people to not hate us because we are gay, but at least we can teach people to be ashamed of their hateful attitudes.

It just seems we Democrats need to pay attention to the bigotry still alive and well within our own party -- both our politicians and our voters.

    Again, yes but...

I honestly agree with you on all the above comments in "Obama Himself...", and last time I checked that's why we've been marching in the streets these last several weeks. But honestly, it's going to take time to change that vote in California from 48% to a higher number. All I'm saying is, give it time. I honestly understand where the YES on 8 people are coming from, but that doesn't mean that they will never see the light.

I don't know how to change the minds of the YES on 8/Obama supporters minds overnight. Do you?

In 10-20 years time, this will be a non-issue. Unitl then, we fight back.... and wait.

    I can't believe what I just watched

Wow, I thought they were nuts, but this surpasses everything I imagined. If I had not known whose bullsh*t this is I would have guessed that the Daily Show was making fun of the recent talk about the "gay mafia" etc. This is so over the top. It is frightening that it is for real.

    Wow is right.

I'm just shocked that the SCI FI network would stoop this low. And that Colin Ferguson always seemed so sweet!!

    Wait, what? Oh, never mind...

    It boggles the mind...

...why any adult heterosexual would buy this to watch AT HOME - much less buy FIVE to pass out to friends. Don't these people have laundry to do?

And did you catch that music in the background? You can't tell me some queer isn't responsible for those beats.

I have always loved Eureka Springs

I have always loved Eureka Springs and the whole Northwest Arkansas Area.   Eureka Springs has an impressive railroad baron era hotel, a metric butt load of B&B's, tons of shops and shoppes, incredibly good food, and mountain scenery that would hold its own anywhere.  It has opera and the passion play, a lovely chapel in the woods for whatever reason, and is close to all that the University of Arkansas has to offer.

I've been there many times, but I confess I had no idea it had turned into the San Fransico of anything.  BUT maybe I should move my online graphics business there if it would further piss off the right-thinking folks of the AFA.

I have had enough of "Christians" stealing Jesus, as explored nicely in Bruce Bawer's book.  Maybe it's time that we actually form a Stonewall II (post Prop 8) agenda.  I'd be happy to do the graphics...:-)
