"Glee" Music Highlights: A Whole Lotta Dreamin'

Last night's Joss Whedon-directed episode felt like it had fewer musical interludes than usual. But still, there were a few showstoppers.

  • First up, Matthew Morrison and guest star Neil Patrick Harris belt out Aerosmith's "Dream On." It's hard to say who sounds better. Having them circle each other around the stage like that is sorta sexy – and forgive me – but far more exciting than any performance on American Idol this season.

  • Next, Artie is out of his wheelchair for a flash mob dream sequence at the mall.
  • The biggest number of the evening was a duet of the Les Miz classic "I Dreamed a Dream" between doppelgangers Lea Michele and Idina Manzel. Susan Boyle ain't got nothin' on them.
  • The show ends with a wistful little number sung by Artie and danced by Tina and Mike Chang.
