Homophonic video blog (Ep. 8): Kristi Martel
Kristi Martel is a one woman hurricane of music. This week on Homophonic, she brought all the forces of nature together when she sat down with Alex to chat about her music and play one of her most popular songs. No stranger to controversy thanks to electrifying lyrics, Kristi starts by scandalizing the FCC with a new track from her forthcoming album Sacred Whore that uses every bad word there is the very best way. And of course, Lee blockaded the door until she graced us all with an outstanding performance of her hit "Photophobia". See it all right now, after the jump! Well boys, I've gotta tell ya.. these vlogs just get better and better!
I have thoroughly enjoyed every interview in the Homophonic series on this website. (Actually, this is a complete understatement, but you get where I am coming from..!)
This interview though is OUTSTANDING! Every musician publicized here has been amazing, talented and individual in their own right. But Kristi Martel? I cannot even find the words to describe how this lady makes me feel! I keep playing this interview over and over again, simply to fill my apartment with the beautiful sound that Kristi just throws right out at me!
Unbelievable voice, wonderful piano, and the lyrics just add to making the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end.
Where can I see Kristi perform? Let me know!
I'll be offline for a while now though, as I'm off to purchase some CD's!
