Homophonic video blog (Ep. 13): Ariel Aparicio

Ariel Aparicio is a man of mystery.  A Rock-n-Roller with Cuban roots; a child of Miami and a son of New York; a former nightclub luminary and current restaurant aficionado; and now, of course, a guest of Homophonic...

But Ariel is a lot more than just a series of fascinating contradictions.  He's also a stage-romping, nation-touring, guitar-smashing rock star with a series of albums under his belt and a brand new release that brings Queer Rock to the forefront.

He's regaled us with tales of Andy Warhol and Grace Jones.  He's taken us by the hand through the trials and tribulations of being an Out Rocker, a musical pioneer, and a father.  And he's even treated us to a private performance of his hit single "I'm the One."

And now, kids, it's your turn!  See it all after the jump!

thanks for the music and

thanks for the music and the vlog :)

*counts the minutes until someone will post something something's something about arms and tattoos*

not me though - I'm a straight woman heading towards middle-age so of course I will post an *AWWWWW* to the baby-story.

=> *AWWWWWWW*

Okay done that - back to the music.

=> Great music. Loved it!
It usually is a bit difficult to say: the vlog was great and the music was great but simply wasn't "my music" without sounding a bit phony.
Not this time though, as as always the vlog was great and the music was great and on top of it it was to "my" music-taste ;-) ! Thanks!

I wish Ariel (and band and family) all the luck and success they want to have :)

Soul Touching...

OMG! Homophones You just keep upping the ante...! How DO you do it?

Ariel, what can I say? Patsy Fabyoulous stumped for words? (Ask Alex and Lee - this is truly a first).

Superb live performance! And really, no kidding when I say that this music actually touched my soul (and some other parts that I can't mention for fear of being blocked forever from all world wide web providers..)

Wishing Ariel the best of luck. I look forward to seeing and hearing more of this rising star!
