Don't be silly, Ambrose. You're gay...the decorating gene is in you.

I'm shocked that Logo hasn't gained a footing yet with it's own shows.

Didn't this air in Canada last year?

LOGO is losing me as a viewer.

I was so excited when LOGO first premiered.I was like "yay, our own network!finally!".They've had some hits, but now it's getting depressing because i'm hardly watching the channel anymore.Their programming has been going down hill for a while now and judging from the comments i've read on message boards after 365gay news was canceled, i'm not the only one who thinks so.There's no real information I can find on the ratings of the network, so I don't know how well it's doing.

There used to be the AZN network a couple of years ago for Asian Americans, but it had nothing on to watch, and went under.I'm starting to worry that the same thing could happen to LOGO.I'm glad we have a gay channel, but if they don't get it together.......I mean i've seen all of the documentaries and movies before, or I have them, they repeat all of their own shows to the point of being sick of seeing them, even if you like the show, they only premier something new once every blue moon for only six episodes, they canceled Noah's Arc, i'm still waiting for season 3 of The big gay sketch show and season 2 of Exes & ohs, and the best they could come up with was The decorating adventures of Ambrose Price? Are you fucking with me?Who green lit this?

Sometimes I wonder what those people at LOGO are smoking. Is anyone actually looking forward to seeing this?I recently saw Were the world mine, and loved it.You know, when I wake up and look for something to watch on my TV guide the channel I always go to first is still LOGO.I want to be excited about this channel again, so How can we get LOGO to change course?

Where else are you gonna see a decorating show with a gay man on it? Huh? WHERE?? HGTV? DIY Network? Style? Bravo? TLC?

It's programing like this that sets Logo apart.

The Devil's Decorator

Is it wrong of me to want to see a home-decorating show (gay or not) by Ambrose Bierce instead?

Gay TV

I find no charisma in this show.  I am sure Ambrose is a nice enough fellow but rather than being self-effacing he should be the kind of fellow you want to have in your life, As is Martha a Stewart, Julia Child, and even Christopher Lowell.  All three of whom are nothing like the peopkle they portray themselves to be.  It is more of an act anyway.  I don't think Martha does much of the work she dispalys these days, she is too busy a multi-media empire.  She ceratinly has final say but I don't see her doing much of what dispalys.  Lets face it  the key to her success is having and managing the proper staff.  It is less about the process and more about the end result. The clip is not enough to say much about the future of the show but a is I won't watch to find out anymore.

That's all I am saying...

Reality check

This is the big problem with Logo, all they're making right now are reality shows.  News flash - reality shows are the ONE area of TV programming where gays and lesbians are already represented!  Survivor, Project Runway, Amazing Race, everything on HGTV and Food Network and Bravo, etc., etc.  Put some money into scripted shows like "Noah's Arc" (oops, that was canceled) and "Sordid Lives" (also canceled) and you'll see that viewers respond.  We can see reality shows with gay and lesbian hosts/contestants/participants/viewpoints on every other network.  Logo has the power to make original shows, to make original movies, to show a wider range of LGBT movies from all distributors and film festivals, to give us something that we can't get everywhere else.  And send Ambrose Price back to Canada, yikes.

I read today that they have officially given the go ahead for the "gay Housewives of..." series called Kept. This is the show they when they put out the casting call they stressed that they wanted older men with younger men dynamics.

Hold your head high...this show should do the community proud.

A Canadian Import

Ambrose first appeared on HGTV Canada's Designer Superstar Challenge ... but he didn't even make it to the top 3. But I guess his Newfoundland "down East"-ness appealed to the powers that be at HGTV Canada and they gave him his own show last year (what you will be seeing on Logo has already aired in Canada).  I watched it once or twice, but I truly was not impressed. Although Ambrose did have some decorating sense when he appeared on Designer Superstar Challenge, the "I have no training but I'm going to come in and decorate for you" premise is not really what the show is about. Instead, it's a vehicle for having aspects of the decorating biz explained to the viewers by way of Ambrose, the virgin decorator, approaching the expert for advice and then trying to put what he's learned into practice.

... BTW, please don't judge Canadian television by this show!

I LOVE his show

It's different in that is shows his struggles in dealing with things out of his realm...and by doing that, it helps the every day viewer to help solve the problems along with him. It's a great lesson on troublshooting when trying to do things for you home (Unless your'e rich enough to have everyhting done for you)  He's got a sweet, cute personality, but none of the annoying snottiness that a person such as Carson Kressley has... Ambrose has none of that baggage. I think his show fits perfectly in with LOGO. Now, just because LOGO doesn't have enough OTHER good things airing, doens't mean that Ambose's show doens't belong. They just need more OTHER things on their schedule to balance and compliment it.... Ambrose's show doens't need to go AWAY like soem people might think. LOGO would do well to repeat the 80's sitcom "Brothers" that was originally on showtime. Hell... LOGO viewers would even like repeats of RHODA. But anyway... I think Ambrose is cute as HELL, and his accent is beyond adorable. I'd do him.
