James McAvoy makes the AfterElton.com Hot 100 List
In our ongoing leak of gorgeous men leading up to the unveiling of the 2008 AfterElton.com Hot 100 List, we thought we'd share that the Scottish actor James McAvoy made it onto the list for a the first time this year. He's been on something of an upswing recently, what with his romantic lead role in Atonement, and his forthcoming movie Wanted, where he stars opposite Angelina Jolie.

I first noticed him in "Bright Young Things"
James...
That made me laugh.
He is quite fetching, isnt he? I first saw him in a european slasher movie about a group of teens in a upscale school in Prague, he spends almost all the movie in a swimsuit. Worth watching just for that.
Not that I'm a Greek god or anything, but ...
He's gotten some things "done" (particulary the teeth) since he showed up on Sundance's "Shameless."
Then again, most everyone does, I guess, fix things up before they get the big break.

Its all about Shameless
James is really at his best as the exceptionally charming Steve in the brit hit show "Shameless". The first season is available on DVD and once you get past the thick Manchester accents you'll find the loveably awful Gallagher family to be some of the best that telly has to offer. It has some great gay storylines as well.
He was also yummy in the dread SciFi adaptation of "Children of Dune" The frequency of him shirtless is the only reason to watch it, but its a GOOD reason.
Wanted Premiere and Meet James!!!
I came across this incredible opportunity to MEET James and attend the premiere of Wanted -- I'm trying to scrap together $2500 so I can place a bid... It says there are four VIP tickets, so I'm hasseling all of my friends! I NEED to rub elbows at this thing!
It's up for auction on www.charityfolks.com... and I think the proceeds are going to Morgan Freeman's charity, PLAN!T NOW for disaster relief.

I swear James ran by me one day...
...Wanted was filmed here in Chicago and early one morning, walking to the El station, I swear James jogged by me. It certainly looked like him.
