NOM's "I'm Confused" ad — Kids say the darndest things!

Hot off the success of their "Gathering Storm" commercial, National Organization for Marriage (NOM) has released a new spot called "I'm Confused," which is currently airing in New Hampshire.

It trots out small children to make a very child-like argument against gay marriage. The ad is so laughably ridiculous that it seems, to my jaded eyes, to actually be counterproductive. In other words, the more frequently it is aired the more support it will generate in support of gay marriage. I hope they run this thing 24/7 in all 50 states.

My only concern is: One of the cute little urchin actors used for this vid might just grow up to be gay. In which case, this commercial is going to be a very uncomfortable item to have in his scrapbook slash video reel.

The thirty second video and text transcript after the break. Enjoy!

Goldilocks Boy (who clearly has a streak of the theatrical): Grandma, my teacher says: "If grandpa was a girl it's okay — you can still be married."

Announcer: If we change the definition of marriage....

Peppermint Patty lookalike: God created Adam and Eve? How so old fashioned.

Announcer: Our kids will be taught a new way of thinking!

Bully Boy: He shoulda created Anna & Eve.

Goldilocks Boy: If my Dad married a man, who would be my Mom?

Head Scratching Boy: I'm confused.

Announcer: Marriage is between a man and a woman. Call [New Hampshire] Governor Lynch today and ask him to protect marriage by not supporting House Bill 436.
