I know, I know...I'm happy they had a love scene, and the fact that Noah used almost verbatim the same words Luke used during the Christmas episode (right before the Mistletoe money-shot) was kind of like a mea culpa from the show. All of that is true.

But "just breathe..." Did we need to quote Faith Hill? And yes, this is a Soap Opera, a world without common-sense or therapists apparently (and world where any teenager with a rich grandmother has access to classified State department documents) but still.

I think VL's Ollian has ruined me for Nuke

AND ENOUGH WITH THE INTERRUPTIONS!!!!!!

When NUKE was introduced I was so totally behind ATWT and CBS for showing such courage in showing two young gay men in love.  But they have completely lost me.  Even today's scene did not move me as it should have.  Too much damage has been done to the NUKE storyline to make it romantic enough for me to believe.  Though Jake and Van are really good young actors and I am sure do their very best to make it believable...it's just not happening for me anymore.  Verbotene Liebe (Ollian) and Brothers and Sisters (Kevin and Scotty) have just done such a better job in showing gay men in love and in a realistic way.

I feel his pain. If I had a nickel for ever time I've been cock blocked by a cop at the door who is inquiring into the whereabouts of my murdurous, escaped-convict father.

*sigh* These realism of these storylines is painful.

I knew it   that was going to happen  i have had suspisions  about Ameera and  Noah's dad, and i also  knew  with all of what happened  the  Noah and Ameera's " Marrage"  was going to end  and  i was right all a long.

I've also been spoiled by Olli and Christian on Forbidden Love. I actually gave up on Luke and Noah after the mistletoe incident. But I do watch some of the clips when posted on this site. 

If you really look at today's clip with Luke and Noah with the interruptions once again by a knock on the door, it really seems like the producers of this show are having a good laugh at its audience. On one hand they are saying...we will let Luke and Noah kiss since you guys protests so much. Then on the other hand they say...we will make sure to interrupt each one of those kisses everytime. They are mocking the audience. 

And i'm sorry to say, but Luke and Noah's kissing scenes don't even hold much weight. I just don't see the intimacy behind their kisses. It was stated earlier on another thread how Luke and Noah seem to just smack lips together...and I have to agree. You contrast  Luke and Noah's few intimate scenes to that of Olli and Christian, and you see a big difference. When Olli and Christian kiss, they kiss like they really, really want to kiss each other. Their kissing is soft and easy and wanting, just beautiful. Their intimate scenes just seems so much more authentic. You actually believe they love each other. Luke and Noah's kisses always looks so forced. And why did Noah have that pained look on his face when he kissed Luke? The kissing I saw today from Van and Luke was simply locking lips to ease some of those Hersey's kiss protests. Oh...and to continue to recieve unwarrented press coverage.  

Ok, yes it was brief, but a "real" romantic moment between two of the cutest guys on daytime tv...What a turn-on!!  The Luke/Noah bedroom kiss and romance has long been awaited.  The s/l is still, what can I say, far-fetched, but then I guess all soap s/l's take one down very strange and implausible rock-strewn paths.  If ATWT & CBS allow Nuke to continue their romance and possibly even throw in a true bed(room) scene &/or shower scene, this viewer will feel the promise from last summer actually come to pass.  So, for what it's worth & not discounting the way soaps have of creating rifts between couples, "Bravo! ATWT" for May 20, 2008 and to CBS & and even P&G.

I had a friend of mine watch this today (she's an actress) and she said "who is this guy? he looks freaked out while kissing luke....he looks so uncomfortable..he needs to relax"

then I showed (forced) my sister who hates soaps with a passion and she laughed and said "this is so unsexy. noah looks like he is in pain"

anyone else see that? I don't know if it's JUST us or whatever.

 

 

 

 

I'm seeing something different from everybody else, because I see a lot of chemistry between Luke and Noah. The kiss was just one moment. The whole set up - the cuddling on the bed while reading the letter, the intense gazing into each other's eyes, the nervous excitement in Noah's voice - to me, all of this shows a connection between these two characters. These moments felt really intense to me. It's like they were right on the verge of releasing the floodgates of pent up desire, but they were savoring and fully experiencing each moment before they completely let loose.

The kiss itself was not soft and romantic. It was the moment of letting loose. (Too bad it couldn't last.) And, yes, it was sort of like mashing lips together but sometimes that's what animalistic passion is like. I read Noah's emotion as nervous excitement again, not as discomfort.

I just find it strange (along with everything that is associated with this storyline), that Ameera didn't have more of a startled reaction, when Father Mayer approached her in the cottage.

She, along with Noah went to see him in the State prison, right?

I've got to stop thinking logically, when I see these clips.

that's what's so FUNNY and ridiculous about people that keep claiming that luke and noah have sizzling chemistry.

noah looks completely uninterested and not aroused at all. yet the luke/noah zealots say they are the most romantic "couple" in daytime. hee hee! they have zero chemistry and noah looks like he'd rather mow the lawn that kiss luke.

For god's sake, you people complain too much!

Methinks the producers have been watching a bit of Ollian, I mean why else would we get to see a damn hot scene like that. And on a daytime soap too in the United States! Yay, they're finally catching up with the rest of the world. So what if they were interrupted? At least there was no cut away camera shot. Sheesh, sometimes I think you guys are just complaining for the sake of complaining.
