WTF was that? That didn't make any sense at all. I suddenly have a warm feeling of embarrassment to think that people around the world are flocking to YouTube to see America's gay soap story and seeing this crap.

Shirtless singing sailor. WTF is wrong with this soap?

Recently "Naked Cowboy" Robert Burck filed suit against M&M-Mars for its M&M parody of him, claiming they used his "trademark likeness" without his permission. I hope ATWT got his permission for Naked Sailor, or I smell another lawsuit in the works.

Burck Claims he has a Trademark on the "Naked Cowboy" (Singing in Times Square.) It doesnt' seem that the case (from Feb.) is settled. However, Burck doesn't have a Trademark on the entire village people singing in their drawers. While ATWT seems too cheep to hire the Singing Cowboy, I do give them Kudos for finding a unique way to introduce naked man chest to the show.

...then this show must have gotten crappier every day since I stopped watching it.  I'm just astonished that there are gay people left who are still watching this train wreck.  I mean, this is even bad by soap opera standards and that's really bad. 

I stopped watching when the ridiculous "Noah marrying Ameera" storyline started and  I see I haven't missed a thing. 

That's a real shame because the Luke and Noah relationship storyline had so much potential until it went off into la la land.  All I can say is gay people must be really desperate to see gay representation on TV if this is what passes their muster for positive gay storylines.

It's New York. Unless they are trying to mug you or do a Broadway fundraiser for a good cause, pretty much anyone can walk around naked and people don't pay attention. ;D

 

Hate to say I told you so, but yesterday's Puke segments were beyond ridiculous. Gone were some of the last grains of any gay couple authenticity, as if there has been the past few months. The entire Puke scenes looked like something out of a bad high school play. I never thought I would see such amateur performances from Van and Jake, but I totally blame that on the writers of this dismay soap. I agree with GayTVluver that this is a very poor representation of a gay couple in America if people are flocking to YouTube to see this embarassment. Yesterday's Puke segments were total crap. I really feel sorry for Van, Jake, and Daniel Hugh-Kelly having to try and work with such supid scenarios. After the previous excellent scenes with Casey, Margo, Tom, and Emily earlier in the week, this is what we get with Puke? Total B/S!

How does Goutman or the rest of those imbeciles at CBS keep their jobs with fluff such as this? Goutman should be hung from the tallest building in Times Square with the writers along with him.

Danny - I completely agree, especially about the contrast between Nuke in NY and the Casey saga earlier. The "bad high school play" observation is right on, but I've noticed over the past two years that all the story arcs that are played out in the outdoors are extraordinarily amateurish. Did you see the serial killer/summer camp stuff from two years ago? My mouth was hanging open at how awful it was written and directed. I've since seen that in other contexts, the NY stuff being the most recent. I'm convinced that when they have an outdoor arc they have writers and directors who handle those scenes that are different from those who do the indoor scenes. Who knows, maybe they're actually using high school interns!

From the YouTube clips from yesterday, it appears that Chris Goutman was directing some of the scenes with Van, Jake, and Michael (Naked Sailor). Dunno if he did all of them with them and Daniel Hugh-Kelly tho. The crappy way it was shown, I tend to think he had his fingers in all of the outdoor Nuke scenes.

After all this time, I'm scared of you being in complete agreement with me about my latest post. Even tho you write such eloquent posts, I hope I'm not rubbing off on you! I would hate to see you stoop to my juvenile way of posting. lol...

I'm beginning to get a soft spot in my head over you. I see Target in our future...
