ATWT video clip update: Kevin's clammy gladhanding isn't winning him any votes.
Luke's old drinking buddy and first crush, Kevin Davis is running for student council President at Oakdale University. He wants Luke's vote, but clearly the whole "gay thing" still makes him uncomfortable. When Noah shows up and Luke introduces him to Kevin as his boyfriend? Well, serious awkwardness ensues.
Noah's impression of Kevin? He has clammy hands. When Reg (a.k.a. "Hot Tub Guy") tells Luke that the next student council President will decide the fate of Oakdale U's controversial gay film festival, Luke decides to throw his hat in the ring. Hair horrors
ATWT - Long live Roah!
Luke is being annoying. I think his too-frequent hair changes have damaged his brain. I'm not cheering for Rukeg anymore. Noah is being a true friend to Dusty who has always been wise and supportive, so I'm now cheering for Noah and Reg... Long live Roah! :P When Noah put his arm around Luke upon seeing Reg, he was definitely sending that vibe to Reg (two alpha males secretly wanting each other). Noah and Reg just need to sleep together to get it out of the way so they can happily watch Luke self-destruct over his own foundation which oddly he doesn't seem to control.
Also, it looked like Kevin is jealous of Luke and Noah. So Kevoah would be cool too! It would be a great twist if Kevin came out and was hot for Noah, not Luke.
Sick and Tired
I've become sick and tired of ATWT. Not only are all their story lines about being gay, but every other character's reaction to them is about their reaction to gay people, their responses to situations in their surroundings has no basis on who the characters were before they combined into this not-so-super couple.

The hair...
Ug. Sometimes, they get his hair right, but today it was awful. Both him and Noah looked like they had just got out of bed (well you know....different beds). Especially at the top of the show, both of them looked like they had been filming for ages and were ready to bite the dust.
Speaking of Dust, Dusty hair just cracks me up. Someone on one of these threads compared it to a dead cat. I kind of agree. I like him better *with* hair than that skin heady buzz cut, but because it is so curly, it just looks goofy. They could at least put some product in it and brush it straight back until it gets some length to it. Who can tell whether the man can act or not...I'm so distracted by his hair, it's like a wig made for slap stick comedy.
I say we take the warning labels off everything and let nature take it's course.

I've kind of stepped back from ATWT for the last little while, but had a chance to sit down and watch this interesting bit of drama unfold with the reintroduction of Kevin... I gotta say, Luke is getting just a little irritating. The acting is still there, but the writers seem to be really playing up on this drama queen/insecure thing and it just makes his character hard to listen to. I still very much enjoy Noah; even when this character was getting a lot of flack from viewers a few months back, I still really liked him, as his personality is just really attractive and believable. Now Kevin.. I think this thing is going to become interesting really fast, because I really really want to like Kevin, but he just sets off this uncomfortable vibe. I too wish they could get off the gay horse though- I'm all for equal rights and positive visibility, but it does get a little tiring; there is more to life then us then our sexuality.
Oh well, at least I still have good ole' Christian and Ollie :)
