Last Night's "Modern Family": R.I.P. Flyza Minnelli

We're making a point of posting the previous night's Modern Family here on the blog because 1.) We love this sitcom and really want to plug it, 2.) It gives folks a place to discuss last night's show, and 3.) At only 21 minutes long, watching the video is probably a far better use of your time than reading a recap.

Last night's installment made me fall in love just a little more with Sofia Vergara as Gloria. Favorite line? When she catches her husband covering up the fact that he accidentally killed son Manny's pet turtle.

"I am Colombian. I know a faked crime scene when I see one!"

Turns out Jay (Ed O'Neill) has some prior experience killing children's pets. He also once murdered Mitchell's parakeet, "Flyza Minelli," and his snake, "Zsa Zsa Gaboa."

Says Jay, "How did I not know that kid was gay?"

The other two main stories had Mitchell standing up to his boss, and Phil fending off the advances of a grabby old girlfriend (Judy Greer).
