Your Gay of the Week: OLTL's Kyle Lewis

We normally announce these things in our Best Gay Week Ever column, but last week editor Michael Jensen was away at the Television Critics Association (TCA) Press Tour, and his BGWE column was overflowing with so much gay TV scoopage that there wasn't room.

No matter, because this week's winner probably deserves his own blog post anyway. For the first time, One Life to Live's two gay characters, Oliver Fish and Kyle Lewis went head to head in the Battle of the Network Gays. We were curious which character would be the more popular of the two, and it seems AfterElton.com voters prefer the bad boy one-time blackmailer to the angst-ridden, closeted cop. Internalized homophobia is not attractive!

Find out Kyle's margin of victory and how the other three contenders fared after the jump!

Why Kyle won: It probably had a lot to do with this One Life to Live scene from last Thursday:

Past wins: This is Kyle's first win, but with the One Life to Live "Kish" storyline finally heating up, something tells us it won't be his last.

Kyle's benevolent rule will last until next Thursday, when new challengers will vie for the crown. See you then!
