• With Hollywood on an early renewal kick this year, there aren't too many shows that don't know their fate. Even fewer shows with gay characters don't know their fate, Mercy and Trauma, both on NBC.

• Eric Sheffer Stevens, who's been playing the delightfully anti-social Dr. Reid Oliver on As the World Turns, has a secret that's coming out this week, and the actor sat down with TV Guide to talk all about his career, the character, and what comes next.

• Betty White confirmed last night that she is going to host Saturday Night Live. There's no word on when, but Lorne Michaels has already killed the "Women of Comedy" concept with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, who, though lovely, aren't qualified to carry Betty's bra.

• The totally NSFW site, but SFW page over at the hilarious Dlisted blog has pictures of everybody's favorite dad (except me) Ty Burrell, cavorting shirtless on the beach in Hawaii with a bikini-clad Julie Bowen, who needs a cookie. And a sandwich. Ty, however, is tight. You're welcome.

• TV Guide is claiming that Mark Salling and Naya Rivera of Glee are now an offscreen couple. They also claim that Naya, as the scheming Santana, takes a character's cherry in the Madonna episode. I'd like to think it won't be the obvious Finn hookup.

• Joe.My.God points us to a story I hope is a hoax about a group called "Patriots for a Moral Utah" that is holding a press conference today for a bill to force deportation of all homosexuals from the state and make harboring a homo a criminal act.

• Gay-fav and empress of the Whedonverse Felicia Day has been tapped as Red in SyFy's reimagining of Little Red Riding Hood, but with werewolves.

• Manolith has a hysterical infographic detailing the TSA guidelines for travelers concerning ... marital aids when flying. It goes without saying you probably don't want to read this at work. The infographic isn't government created, but the content in it is. Somebody got paid to think about everything from lube to prosthetics. Still, good to know what the rules are.

• In other Red Riding Hood/werewolf news, Amanda Seyfried of Mama Mia! fame confirmed to E! last night she'll be starring in the Catherine Hardwick-helmed Girl With the Red Riding Hood about sex and werewolves.

• Surprise: Opposite-married anti-gay California State Senator Roy Ashburn is gay, which he admitted on a radio program after being arrested for DUI with a young Latino man in the car. He also says he intends to keep voting anti-gay, because that's what the people in his district want. Since when do politicians listen to constituents?
