AfterElton Briefs: "Glee" Is Delayed, Lady GaGa In 3D, Johnny Weir's Weird World, and more!

Following this assortment of carefully-selected news items, interested readers can find a refreshing pic of a hot man in underwear. Yes, we're serious.

  • I love me some Lady GaGa, but after rewatching some videos and live performances I'm not at all sure I can get excited about a 3D concert DVD spectacular. I'm pretty sure I'd have nightmares. Won't someone hold me!
  • In sad news, production on Spartacus: Blood and Sand has been halted while star Andy Whitfield seeks treatment for Non-Hodgkin lymphoma in New Zealand. We wish him all the best until he's healthy enough to don the loincloth again.
Thankfully it's not the medicus treating him.
  • Battlestar Galactica is launching a Massively-Multiplayer Online (MMO) game later this year. There's not word on whether it will include the same-sex options that exist in Caprica, or if Gaeta still lives in this world.
  • You know what else is scary in 3D? The Bible. Someone is spending $30 million to turn the book of Genesis into a 3D event for the church set titled In the Beginning.
  • The Advocate has a long, adorable interview with out musician Matt Morris ranging from his Disney roots, his husband (pre-Prop 8), Justin Timberlake, and how it all informs his decision to be out and connect with fans. A remarkably different read from another celebrity's recent profile over there.
  • I always forget that Indecision Forever has content above and beyond what appears on The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. I almost missed this bit on gay marriage they wrote today, complete with a Phelps quote, all in Colbert's voice.
  • Look, I think John Krasinski is adorkable, I really do. But I really don't have any desire to see him in spandex as a perfect physical specimen. Reports say the Captain America role is his to lose at this point. I think if you turn him gym god, you'll lose that adorkable quality, and without the body, Captain America is just a SNL parody.
  • Stars are people too, and sometimes we forget that (yes, me too). Neil Patrick Harris sounds distinctly bummed out on Twitter about the reaction to his opening number at the Oscars.
I liked everything but the tuxedo. I have an aversion to sequins.
  • Towleroad brought to my attention the ombudsman of the Washington Post taking on people who objected to the paper running pictures of kissing same-sex couples on the front page last week picking up their marriage licenses. He's masterful in the way he slices apart their bigoted objections and draws parallels to the reaction to coverage of civil rights struggle in the 1960s.
  • As everyone has been reporting, Barbara Walters biggest regret was badgering Ricky Martin about his sexuality in a 2000 interview. How times have changed, with Babs saying this past year that it would be impossible to interview Lady GaGa and Adam Lambert without talking about their sexuality.
Every minute we're apart is an eternity!
  • The Los Angeles Times sat down with Johnny Weir and his weird, weird world. They discuss his growing awareness of the need to speak up, his Olympic dreams, and plans after he hangs up his skates.
