- Wednesday evening the Television Academy Honors ceremony will take place. It's basically the awards for any Very Special Episode of a series. Glee is up for "Wheels."
- Today's Stories from the Frontlines features Former Petty Officer Joseph Rocha, who you may recall was in a specialty canine program where his trainers locked in him a dog cage naked and forced him to perform simulated oral sex on another trainee due to his perceived homosexuality. He couldn't report the abuse for fear of Don't Ask, Don't tell.

- In an interview with The Advocate, Rep. Patrick Murphy respectfully disagrees with Secretary Gates asking to delay the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell. As evidence of the detriment to our military readiness he offers this:
I got an e-mail from a company commander in Afghanistan, who his partner broke up with him and he had no one to turn to — he couldn’t go to his chaplain, he couldn’t go to his superiors or to his battle buddies, and here the guy is leading 200 of our best troops over in Afghanistan in a very tough fight. And he cradled a 9mm weapon in his hand because he kept thinking he had nowhere to turn to and he was about to blow his brains out.
- Think you understand the late night wars now that Conan is gone and The Daily Show dominates most younger demographics? Think again, because Bravo's Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen has been beating Lopez Tonight and Chelsea Lately for nearly a month. The show moves to 11pm this month to gain even more traction.
- Just as we get news of The Washington Blade reopening, we find out the Chicago Free Press is closing their doors.
- I haven't had time for an exhaustive look at Drama Desk nominations, but in Outstanding Actor in a Musical I see Cheyenne Jackson for Finnian's Rainbow, Nathan Lane for The Addams Family, Douglas Hodge for La Cage Aux Folles and Bobby Steggert for Yank!

- Larry Kramer was interviewed recently by Father Tony, and it's just as unfiltered as you would expect on activism, AIDS, and sex.
- E! is running their own Last Real Man In Hollywood, which despite the inflammatory title, is all about looking at hot men, much like our own Hot 100.
- Artist Paul Richmond, whose Cheesecake series I'm in love with, has an upcoming gallery showing at The Center on Halsted June 11.
Rip Off, starring Alec Mapa

- I hate to smirk over this, but today the Supreme Court declined to hear the appeal from the Boy Scouts of America, stating they are a religious organization and could not be given special leases and use of government properties as such. Be careful what you ask for to let you discriminate against gays.
And today's Briefs are brought to you by...
