  • At Trevor NY on June 28th, the Trevor Project will be honoring Vanessa Williams and Macy's department store for their activism. Special performance by Jason Mraz, and celebrity guests including Dustin Lance Black, Marc Consuelos, Ardin Myrin, Ana Ortiz and Kelly Ripa. There are still tables available for the event.
  • Last month we reported that Filipino singing sensation Charice was joining Glee, which Charice then denied via Twitter. Today, according to the Spurf™ Charice is indeed joining the cast, and brings some serious pipes to the show. Pipes that will drive Rachel (Lea Michele) to insane heights of jealousy.
I wonder if he just has the upper buttons left off his shirts?
  • In other True Blood news, barring any stakes or tanning beds, Talbot and Russell could be around a while, because HBO just gave the renewal for a fourth season of True Blood.
  • Tim Gunn's new book, Tim Gunn's Golden Rules reportedly takes swipes at Vogue forces-of-nature Anna Wintour and Andre Leon Talley. Discussing Wintour's appearance at Peter Som's 2006 fashion show at the Metropolitan Pavilion:
I was with a colleague from Parsons, and we had been discussing the will-she-or-won't-she-take-the-elevator question, so we ran over to the elevator bay to see if Anna would deign to get on. She wasn't there. Then we looked over the stairway railing. And what did we see but Anna being carried down the stairs. The bodyguards had made a fireman's lock and were racing her from landing to landing. She was sitting on their crossed arms.

  • Family Matters star Jaleel White denies any rumors that he's gay in a radio interview coinciding with the DVD release of Family Matters. Well played, sir.
  • Last week on the NewNowNext Awards my favorite bit was Cheyenne Jackson with the Grindr-like app on his iPhone. They really sold it, and the "I thought that tasted like you" was the best line of the night.

  • Sir Elton John continues to "build bridges" by playing a concert in Israel. Artists such as The Pixies and Elvis Costello have canceled their concerts since the raid on the Gaza aid ship.
  • BUTT Magazine has launched a ling of beach towels with your favorite models in partnership with American Apparel. The link takes you to NY Mag, so it's not too racy, but once you get into their slideshow, it is NSFW.
