I also thought of the XANADU cover...seeing as that was pretty much the only album from the 80's i listened to obsessively.

I like Adam Lambert, but that album cover is so crap. It's like a cross between David Bowie and Roxy Music in 1973, but without the air-brushing. I like the boy Lambert both as a singer and as a personality. But unless he has masses of ironic songs on his album, that cover pic is frankly a joke. It doesn't identify him as himself, it sort of plays up to the marketed image of him. Oh well, he's a great singer and I hope the album is better than the picture.

I mean, really? THAT is the best they could do? Have we seen the cover for Kris Allen's album?

the cover looks very much like what the French artist duo Pierre et Gilles is famous for. However with photoshop nowdays most pictures look like they are treated with extra bright colors to give them a glowing, kitschy and iconic look.

Its been a long long time since I've been able to say anything about the Brief's guy b/c they all (or at least their brief's have) all been quite normal, but this was awesome!!! OMG that's hot! Call me shallow, but that is just so sexy as Batman underwear remind me of myself in my youth, so its just......OMG.....OMG... It's just hot!!! I don't know if anybody else will feel as strongly (you see Batman is my favorite superhero, and when I was in high school, me and ex-boyfriend would fight over who was better, Superman or Batman? He said Superman could fly, but I said Bruce Wayne could buy me anything in the world, so Batman won it for me, hands down! Who cares about going around really fast to save humanity when you're FILTHY STINKING RICH!!!...but I digress). Man, that brief's guy brought back memories, and I hope *crosses fingers* we have a week long Halloween themed Brief's section ;)~

I think the album cover is gorgeous, very hyperglam space alien.

As someone posted above, definitely a Pierre et Gilles feel to it.

I have a lot of their posters so I love the surreal sparkle glam thing.

Can't wait to hear his single.

 

It's a gorgeous picture. But I have to say I haven't bought an album/cd for a very long time. :) I carry my IPod everywhere. But will certainly be checking the music out.

Also I have never wanted to be a rugby ball so badly before. Damn.

That album cover is Hard Nose The Highway bad. At least that album had the benefit of good music. I really hope that Adam's album is good enough to make up for that cover.

 

It's great that Bea Arthur's estate gave that money to the Ali Forney Center. What an amazing woman. This makes me love her even more.

I like the idea of Glam, but this picture looks too Pink circa 2002, not 70s Glam and Im not sure that is such a good thing.

Well, I like that he is taking risks and that is a good thing.

This is directed by San Francisco's own drag celebrity/midnight movie hostess, Peaches Christ, and it's produced by Darren Stein, the director of "Jawbreaker." I had a lot of fun as an extra!

(and don't let Thomas Dekker's participation dampen the fun. He made an appearence at Peaches' screening of "Jawbreaker," singing an original song he wrote for the occassion, and he did so AGAINST HIS AGENT'S WISHES. So maybe it's time to start cutting him some slack)

Terrific news,   I've volunteered at Ali Forney.  They make the budget they do have stretch, but the needs of LGBT homeless teens far outstrip their current capacity.  One horrible unintended consequence of the otherwise positive develoment of gay youth coming ouy at younger ages is that some are being rejected and thrrown out by their famlies while still in their early teens.

Bea truly is a golden girl.

FYI, the Party City event was a benefit for the Boys and Girls Club of America, so he didn't "cash in." He met with the kids during the day an performed at the party in the evening.

Love it. Pure camp goodness, the love interest is HOT, and it has Edie McClurg.

You can keep Bill and Eric, I'll never stop being team Jason Stackhouse. He did not get near enough screen time this past season, and I was not loving his whole Fellowship of the Sun plot-line.

I know he's little but a piece of meat, but sometimes isn't that enough?

 

On a separate note, as little as I care about Twilight (the other vampire thing), I can't help but find Taylor Lautner dragging me toward it. Even though I'm only 23, I feel like a creepy old man. He hits 18 in Feb. Then I'll feel less dirty. (and no, I didn't know that without checking Wiki, thank god!)

I wonder when people will be accepted as people regardless of sex, race or sexual preference. This should go for everyone not just sports players. Freedom of speech needs to be preserved for all, not just for some people. People are people and that is all there is to it. recensioni

..still be a fan? I'm noticing that in order to be a fan of Adam you have to be "all in". Either you love everything about him or you're against him.

I think he's very talented. Love his voice and his singing style. I'm not a fan of the cover at all. Won't stop me from buying it.

That cover is hideous in my opinion, looks like an internet fan photo. Oh well, just confirms that Adam's style and music are not for me.

Personally I thought Ryan Kwanten and rugby boy were WAY hotter than the briefs guy. Hope that they aren't choosing players base on looks though.

At least rugby boy knows how to handle some balls.
