AfterElton Briefs: "True Blood", Glampires, Dieux du Stade, and more.
We know he can sing with fangs in his mouth.
Following this assortment of carefully-selected news items, interested readers can find a refreshing pic of a hot man in underwear after the jump. Yes, we're serious.
- Proving it's never too early to cash in, Adam Lambert (above) broke out his "Glampire" costume early and showed some fang for the Party City Halloween Party. And speaking of Adam, he just released the cover for his upcoming album.

- Augusten Burroughs, out author of Running With Scissors, has inked a deal with CBS and Catalyst Films (Ashton Kutcher) to develop his novel Dry for a Showtime series.
- After twice spewing homophobic slurs in the last week, Kansas City Chiefs Larry Johnston has apologized as the Chiefs told him to stay home from team events and GLAAD called for sanctions.
- Alan Ball got interviewed by the Advocate about True Blood Season Three, and dropped a bunch of spoilers. He also promised more skin from Ryan Kwanten this season, which I support completely.
Still looks like a devil to me.

- In other True Blood news, some faces you're familiar with over at Camp Blood have some cool jack-o-lantern stencils of the True Blood cast, including Lafayette.
- Like the AfterElton Editor-In-Chief Michael Jensen, the folks at JustJared have seen the next episode of Glee, "Wheels." Unlike the bossman, they shared a bunch of spoilers, and at least one item gets crossed off my personal wish list for the show.
- Above you can watch Joy Behar take Joe the Plumber to task about his statements about not leaving his children alone with gays. Joy is turning her show into a one woman crusade for us.
- There's currently some controversy that Stade Françai, the French rugby team with the homoerotic calendars, and videos may be choosing players based not on skill, but on how hot they'd look naked in the calendar. And the issue is?
I'm not saying he can't play the game, but he makes most models put on a parka.

- Dan Savage interviews New York Times columnist Frank Rich aboout why he's always speaking out for gay causes. It's an emotionally packed answer.
- Thank you for being a friend, indeed. Bea Arthur's estate gives $300k gift to The Ali Forney Center for GLBT youth.
- Ang Lee talked to Metro in the U.K. about directing the Heath Ledger/Jake Gyllenhaal kiss, and Michelle William's input.
- You can listen to, or even buy, the score to Neil Patrick Harris' "Music Meister" episode of Batman: The Brave and the Bold.
And today's Halloween Briefs are brought to you by...
Batman!
