Following this assortment of carefully-selected news items, interested readers can find a refreshing pic of a hot man in underwear. Yes, we're serious.

  • Above you can see some of the hot Broadway hunks at the after party for Broadway Backwards 5, benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity fights AIDS. Full gallery from our friends at BroadwayWorld.com.
  • Despite the gayest Big Brother Brazil in memory, a homophobe who believes that straight men can't get AIDS from having sex with infected women because it's a "gay disease" is the frontrunner to win. But you can help vote him out. Made in Brazil has the details, but we're on a timeline.
  • From the tease, you saw puppet cleavage - specifically that of Lucy the Slut from Avenue Q. Joe.My.God alerts us to the fact that in the hometown of Focus on the Family, puppet cleavage was deemed too racy for outdoor advertising. When the show opens, these people are going to have heart attacks. Could you imagine if they'd gone with some of the other posters?
My favorite Avenue Q poster.
  • Reporting as required by the Treaty of Kylie, Dannii Minogue is skipping the X-Factor audition rounds this year to stay home and be fat. Wait, I'm being told the fat is because she's pregnant, and she's not fat, she's "glowing." My apologies.
  • When Jay Leno goes back to his 11:35pm time slot Tuesday, his first guests are scheduled to be Sarah Palin and Shaun White. If that weren't a weird enough mismatch of personalities, Adam Lambert is announcing he'll be the musical guest that night, singing "Music Again." If they all end up on the couch together, Sarah Palin will finally meet a gay person! Bonus: Adam Lambert sat down with VH1's Pop Couture for a rather extensive interview about his personal style.

  • Out British comedian Jason Wood has passed away at 38-years-old of apparent natural causes. In addition to his comedy, he famously was the first person voted off the first season of Strictly Come Dancing. Our thoughts and sympathy to his friends and family.
  • One part of that shift in New York theater we mentioned earlier has been exemplified by the play Yanks! about two World War II servicemen who fall in love. The producers say they didn't set out to write a political play, just a love story.
  • We may have released our Chris Colfer interview today, but TVAddict.com had one with both him and Kevin McHale. It's fun with them playing off each other, and there's a segment that I find very interesting. It's a little awkward to quote so you'll have to work with me.
I know you’re not going to be able to spill much, but what can you tell us about the first few episodes back.
Chris Colfer: Kurt has a very good episode coming up.
Not vague at all, but since you brought it up… Would Kurt’s ‘very good’ upcoming episode happen to coincide with the start of a much-buzzed-about relationship?

Chris Colfer: I can’t say. But let’s just say it’s a very very very very good episode. (Chimes in Colfer’s publicist, “For the record, that was four “very’s!”)

The HOM-1 In action.

  • General Raymond Odierno, top Iraqi war commander sees repealing Don't Ask, Don't Tell as mostly a non-issue. Shame the rest of the old guys don't agree.
  • In one of the more amusing casting decisions in a long time, Bristol Palin will be playing herself on an episode of The Secret Life of the American Teenager. I promise not to recap it.

And today's Briefs are brought to you by...
