The Afternoon Meme: Tauron Gangsters Can't Hold a Candle To House Cats, and "Lost" Makes No Sense

After days of talking about anti-abortion Super Bowl commercials and cheesy dating site commercials, we can sit back and watch something more traditional with this ad for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, which is opening at Universal Orlando this spring. And while this seems a logical fit to a Super Bowl commercial, does it feel low rent to anyone else? I just fails to WOW! me for $2.6 million and a $600 million park expansion.

As we've established, I don't watch Lost. I just can't make that kind of commitment to a show. I can't make that much of a commitment to a husband, dog, or frankly a houseplant. So I love this parody of how absolutely ridiculous the show is from the unaired E! sketch comedy show TV Wasteland.

I'm going to go political on you guys for a second because frankly I'm irritated. I know Dennis already did this, but the clip from DailyKos makes hypocrisy so clear. You may have noticed that the Senate held hearings on repealing Don't Ask, Don't Tell yesterday. I know Senator McCain is old - like really old - but hasn't he heard of this new invention called video tape? We know what you said last summer!

While we're at it, the Family Research Council thinks that homosexual conduct deserves prison time, and not just in the military but society as a whole. Like we can afford that and arresting Andy Dick once a week. Why do news networks have these nut jobs on the airwaves?

Back to the fun stuff, we get to see our bad-a** Sam Adama doing what he does best in a promo for this week's Caprica episode. Daniel Graystone really should answer his door. I mean he has a robot butler, so it's not like it's an inconvenience.

This clip is old, but it just went up on Hulu and I'm feeling nostalgic about the show. The cast of Ugly Betty talking about their musical theater background, particularly Vanessa Williams and Mark Indelicato, at the Paley Center last April.

Since I ragged on cats a lot last week and fear for my life because of it, the cat in this video is definitely the winner. What's unknown is why a cat would choose to start a fight with a 150lb Rottweiler in the first place. But he won - that dog is scared.

And finally, I mentioned last week that Disney was going to run individual ads for Alice in Wonderland across ABC, ABC Family and ESPN. The first of those ads is out from ABC Family and has a ton of footage we haven't seen before in other trailers. Plus, I'm fairly certain you didn't see it on ABC Family because it aired during The Secret Life of the American Teenager. It's a real shame about the music though. Why is Avril Lavigne still relevant?
