The Afternoon Meme: "Tara" Shows Her Colors, Adam Talks Music, the Red Queen Talks Pig Bellies, and Jake Talks Funny

Since I'm already at risk of having my toaster oven repossessed over today's The Morning Meme, I'm going to go out on a limb here and badmouth Jake Gyllenhaal. Or at least badmouth his accent in Prince of Persia, which really came to the fore in the Super Bowl promo that ran last night. Where is that accent from? Madonna's England?

Alice in Wonderland delivered some fresh dialog and action last night as well. But there is no way any line in this movie can ever top "I love a warm pig belly for my aching feet." I really should try that.

I've posted some parkour sequences before. I'm fascinated at anyone who can walk down a public sidewalk without tripping, so this just blows my mind. There are movies about this. There's even a sequel to movies about this. Even if you don't like parkour, if you're on AfterElton.com, there's a good chance you like hot athletic men. Depending on where you look, District B13: Ultimatum either opened this past Friday, or in two weeks. Here's the trailer.

Over on Yahoo! Music, which I didn't  know existed, they posted an interview with Adam Lambert called "The Front Porch Interview." It's in two parts. It's definitely a softball interview given by a sympathetic journalistic, but there are good questions asked.

It snowed some places on the east coast over the weekend. Locally, we got four inches of ice and six inches of snow, and I was without power for nine hours and cable and Internet for 20 hours. Which one do you think freaked me out the most? Still, at my worst, I wasn't nearly as worried as this guy.

American Idol has released a second promo with Ellen DeGeneres on it, and didn't manage to do much to allay my fears of how this was going to work. Though the rumor Howard Stern is replacing Simon Cowell could make it more interesting. Ellen begins Tuesday night.

This stop-motion animation looks like it was designed by Quentin Tarantino on a particularly bloody day. I have a friend who thinks that rabbits are evil and The Rabbits in Apartment #5 will not help my arguments with him.

There are as many bears in this next video as the Eagle on a Saturday night (seriously, it can get crowded!). I felt really sad watching, until the one at the end. He's into the performance aspect, and if it works for him, it works for me. I'd hate to take away his stage.

One of my favorite shows, United States of Tara, returns next month and we have the first promo which I don't really seem to understand. It does highlight one issue though: Why does Marshall wear such dark, drab colors when he's such a vibrant personality? Also, I want giant crayons. Coloring is a great stress reliever.

This video may go on for too long, but I liked it. The poor, chubby dog has treats on the couch, but the cat has claimed the space. The cat doesn't appear to want the treats, it just doesn't want the dog to have them. Evil.
