Afternoon Meme: Gilles Marini Brings the Sexy, Puppies Bring the Cute, Fisherman Bring the Excitement, and I Bring the Cynicism

Last night on The Daily Show, out director Lee Daniels stopped by to chat about Precious, awards, and what he's working on. This is one of those interviews where Jon Stewart and his guest seem to know each other so well that the audience feels a bit like a third wheel, but a highly entertained third wheel.

Gilles Marini stopped by The Bonnie Hunt Show to talk love, Valentine's Day, his beefcake calendar, and his return to Brothers & Sisters. They have a clip of his return near the end. You can almost hear him calling Sarah a slut in his mind.

Bryan Safi of Infomania returned last night to discuss Don't  Ask, Don't Tell. Since it was on basic cable, it technically meets our broadcast standards, but since they beep out some obviously racy words, I'm going to label this NSFW.

Super Bowl was last weekend, but I saw this video of What If Famous Directors Directed the Super Bowl, and it became a whole new experience. From Tarantino to French directors I'm not cultured enough to know, it really changes the experience.

I know the hammer throw is a Summer Olympic sport, but they have to practice I suppose. This guy in particular needs a lot of practice.

Most of the world is sick of hearing about the epic snowfalls those of us in the Mid-Atlantic have been taking on, but look at this time lapse taken in Washington, D.C. This is before the storm that just hit.

CNN is GaGa for GaGa's fashion sense. So much so that they ignore the living legend sitting beside her. These two did a ton of interviews for their MAC Viva Glam lipsticks, and it's for a great cause. I'm just wondering how Lady GaGa managed to change elaborate outfits so many times.

Ice fishing has never appealed to me. Fishing in general has never appealed to me, so combining it with cold just sounds miserable to me. But this guy somehow makes it exciting, all while keeping his clothes on.

I'm not entirely sure why there were cameras on this bus to film the crash from different angles. It doesn't look like a movie, it seems like a legitimate accident. Actually a pretty horrific accident. Color me fascinated.

Bonnie Hunt always has a feel good moment at the end of the show. Today it was a bulldog (adorable) puppy (aww!) who needs a nap (Oh-look-how-sweet) every five feet (does not bode well for neighborhood walks to pick up dudes).

Finally, this short film expresses my feelings on Valentine's Day so much better than I ever could. With any luck, you have happier associations.
