After screen testing over 1,000 leads, 24-year-old dancer Kenny Wormald has been cast as the lead in the remake of Footloose. While I could do without the remake, he looks more the part than Chace Crawford.

I understand that How To Deal With Gay People is meant to be a parody, and while one or two items are funny, nearly all of them are gender identity offensive. 

A personal cartoon obsession of mine is Phineas and Ferb on Disney. Disney has decided they have the next Spongebob Squarepants on their hands (it’s so much better than Spongebob, and I love Spongebob) and are beginning a marketing and merchandising blitz. The New York Times and Los Angeles Times cover the cartoon today.

Jason Momoa is trying to make us all forget that someone else was Conan the Barbarian with this body. He was always hunky on Stargate: Atlantis, but this is a whole new level. And it might even be a good movie, because the writers have been hired to create a Dr. Strange movie for Marvel, the first Marvel property to get developed under the Disney banner.

Way back in Back to the Future 2 (1989), we saw a 47-year-old Marty McFly. At the time we had no idea that Michael J. Fox's body would spend years fighting Parkinson's Disease. Still, the studio was a little overly pessimistic about the aging process.

Local hero Will Phillips, the 10-year-old who refused to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance and won our hearts, is the Grand Marshall of the NW Arkansas Pride Parade. The comments on the local news story are better than I expected, but it wouldn't hurt to go visit and drop some support in the comments. His parents are so proud of him, and so am I.

The first trailer is out for The Green Hornet, and it's largely Seth Rogen being Seth Rogen, and Kato (Jay Chao) being incredible. It's 1960s Batman combined with a Bruce Lee movie. It looks truly, truly tragic. When did actors stop acting and start playing the same character in different movies?

I have a total weakness for SyFy Original Movies. Mega-Piranha, Atomic Twister, it doesn't matter, I'm there. Now SyFy is giving fans a chance to create a bad monster movie of their own, and SyFy will actually make the movie.
