Battle of the Network Gays: March 26, 2010

In this week's Battle of the Network Gays we have Cam's date night with Gloria squaring off with Officer Cuddleybear's low-key coming out, Marshall's floral activism and Dave Koz making the band.
More on this week's nominees and why they were chosen after the break.
- Modern Family's Cameron
Freed from the bonds of couplehood and parenthood with Mitchell, you'd expect a night on the town with Modern Family's two biggest personalities to end up in jail, or the hottest club. Instead we got a very human instance of a son-in-law trying so hard to make a good impression that nothing went his way, until adversity itself became the bond.

- Southland's Officer John Cooper
All was not what it seemed on a trip to the desert to see a collegue in rehab and pay repsects to one who fell. Everything about this trip had layers of players and meaning, leading up to the conversation in the desert where Officer Cuddleybear tells Rookieboy about running into his dead friend at gay bars and pretending they didn't know each other. It was a moment that matched the relationship, and you could see the puzzle pieces click into place. It was the emotionless emotional companion episode to the fire truck the week before

- The United States of Tara's Marshall
The second season opener finds Marshall questioning just what kind of gay he wants to be. Does he want to be flashy and forceful at the gayble or just out and low-key? And when he sees the chance to be both, he shows up to the school with purple carnations and charts his own unique path yet again with the support of his father.

- The Emeril Lagasse Show's Dave Koz
I admit to owning actual cassette tapes of Dave Koz music from before I was even out, just because the man can play a mean saxophone. Years later, we're both out and he's gone from Arsenio Hall guest spots to a successful music career to being the first openly gay bandleader on a talk show when the ION Network premieres The Emeril Legasse Show next month.

Vote for your favorite by noon EDT Monday. And be sure to check back next Tuesday on the blog to see which network gay our readers have carried to glory!
POLL HAS CLOSED. CHECK BACK TUESDAY ON THE BLOG FOR RESULTS.
