Cheyenne Jackson Lands New Gig - and You Don't Have To Live Near Broadway To See It

Coming to a living room near you?

We know that you're almost as likely to be struck by lightning as you are to be cast on a pilot that navigates the path to an actual series. But we can't help but be a little giddy at the news that Broadway hunk-a-dunk Cheyenne Jackson has landed a comedy pilot for ABC. Did we mention he gets to play gay?

It Takes a Village revolves around two exes, Karen (Leah Remini) and Howard (James Patrick Stuaart) who join forces to raise their 15-year-old boy. Which I thought was the role of people who had a 15-year-old boy.

The twist here is that Howard has come out as gay, and Cheyenne is playing his first boyfriend. The significant others of Karen and Howard are billed as part of the "village" it takes to raise a child, so we have hope that Cheyenne's role isn't disposable.

Personally, I'm thrilled to have Cheyenne beamed into my living room (did I mention I also watch television in bed?) every week, and having him paired with the equally sexy James Patrick Stuart is a lovely thought.

James Patrick Stuart scored with Cheyenne as a first boyfriend.

What do you think? Interesting concept? I'm even willing to overlook Leah Remini, who I haven't been able to take since she did that reality special about her wedding.
