"Glee" Cast "Bust A Move" from next week's "Mash-Up" episode
After some music-lite episodes, this past week brought some really beautiful performances. Next week promises more of the same, except with a lot more fun. Last week was about emotional ballads, this coming week looks to get back to energetic numbers. We'll see Puck sing Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline, a performance of Sisqo's Thong Song, and even get our guidance counselor Emma (Jayma Mays) showing off her vocal prowess on I Could Have Danced All Night from My Fair Lady. But since I'm on the record as being hot for teacher, the highlight is going to be, without a doubt, Will (Matthew Morrison) rapping again. He felt the need to show the kids how it was done on Kanye's Gold Digger back in the second episode, and again, he's bustin' rhymes and break dancing circles around the kids.
I just want to know why Kurt isn't into it - he's downright pouty. What's wrong, Kurt? Smile for us! Submitted by on Fri, 2009-10-16 08:07. |

Everyone is bustin' a move except Kurt

This show is so weird
Kurt was actually quite into it
If you look really carefully around 1:18 and 1:20 Kurt was shaking his head a bit to the bit. Also he picked up the tambourine towards the end and added some flavour to the song.
The part where he silently mouthed "OMG" and walked away was because Mr. Shue was teasing him about a girl liking him so he`s like "I`m gay so whateva". I found that part very cute. : ) Chris Colfer is very good when the spotlight is on him, but it is moment like this that shows how talented he really is.
Also there was a lot going on in this scene. Rachel was sitting with Puck, Mercedes with Kurt. Then in the middle of the number Tina went to sit next to Kurt. At when Kurt was playing the tambourine Brittany joined him.
The second question..
Possibably spoiler
According to the previews there is a slushie war going on. I`m guessing he just got one in the face in a previous scene, so it`s not sweat. ;)
I think you're right. At the
I think you're right. At the very beginning of the clip, Quinn is seen toweling off Finn so I bet he just got "slushied" prior to that.
Kurt could be a little more reserved in the clip due to storyline aspects we are not privy to yet and/or the fact that the entire Glee Club is currently reviled (apparently) by the entire school (as evidenced by the mass "slushies").
And I am so glad that Puck finally has a solo next week. YUM! Now that he's not such an A-hole I kind of like the whole bad boy thing he's got going on, yet with a sensitive side to boot. (Wonder if he gets "slushied"! Seems like he would beat the sh*t out of anyone that tried.)
Listen to us...trying to analyze the whole episode before it even airs. Total Gleeks!

Ooops.
Puck Sings Beautifully!!!
it's true
Chris Colfer is very good when the spotlight is on him, but it is moment like this that shows how talented he really is.
His reaction shots are consistently awesome. He adds so much, even when he's just in the background.
No! not more girls! Icky, keep them awaaaaay~~~
I think you've got it. Kurt is still just a wee bit uptight. Chris Colfer's background reactions and acting -- like Diana Argon's -- really are great and he really is a great young actor.
Confession time: I had the cassette single of this song by Young MC. This is such a good cover of it, everyone looks like they're having fun, and the guys and girls sound wonderful backing. Plus, Matthew Morrison, WOW. How did this guy not get stolen off broadway before now?
So looking forward to seeing Emma sing next week!
You're not weird...
and...
And proud to be... :)

hot for teacher
i know teachers are people too and have lives and all that, but it seems kind of inappropriate for a teacher to be singing a song like 'bust a move' (with lyrics like that) in front of/at his students. I know its all in fun and sure, Shue is dreamy, but if some kid took that the wrong way...i dont know..seems awkward and probably against any high school's policy. If my high school choir teacher had come up to me and sang to me about scantily clad ladies and touched my face like he did to quinn, for example, i would be hella weirded out.
also, ditto for singing a song about getting so smashed on tequila that you cant remember your own name, at a high school recital. These kids are like 18 tops. Is this kind of thing okay now?
I mean i'm no prude- I'm in my 20s, but really?
Inappropriate Touching?
I thought the way he touched her on the cheeks was very brotherly/fatherly. I know that in today's society we're becoming hyper-vigilant about OMGTOUCHING and yeah, Sandy in the pilot episode went there, but its a shame. The scene where Finn was crying on his shoulder a few weeks ago and now that moment with Quinn? It's well established these are students he's providing a lot of support too, they like him very much, there are definitely no boundaries being crossed between them. It's not him walking up and big-hugging someone completely new.
I think it's nice that a natural human expression of comfort and support is being shown.
Will Shuester
He's a great dancer and a fine talent. But watching him still gives me that squirmy/fidgety embarassed feeling i get watching my dad dance.
And he heel-spins every two seconds.
But this is waaay better than Gold-digger, which sounded like a Kidz Bop cover.
I like this Glee version of
Glee - Sweet Caroline [**spoiler**]
