Breaking News: ABC cancels "Ugly Betty"

They'll have plenty of time to spend in forest clearings now.

ABC today announced that this will be the last season of Ugly Betty. The move to Wednesday nights couldn't improve the ratings slide. The decision was made so early in the year to give creator Silvio Horta time to wrap up the storylines and give the characters satisfying endings.

What is satisfying is a matter for debate of course. Does Betty marry Daniel? Does Wilhemina take over the world? Does Justin ever come out or get a first kiss? Can Marc and Amanda please have a spinoff?

We don't have the answers to these questions, but we are working on them. Stay tuned for more information.
