Pete crashes and Burns on UK Celebrity Wife Swap

Yes, it’s back! The BAFTA-award winning hit series, Wife Swap returns with another celebrity special this Sunday on Channel 4. And boy, is it a hum dinger of an episode!

Queue lots of diva hissy fits, monumental strops and foul language as singer/songwriter and former Celebrity Big Brother contestant Pete Burns and his new hubby Michael Simpson (pictured together above) swap places with hard man of football, Neil “Razor” Ruddock and his partner, glamor girl Leah Newman.

The flamboyant Burns, who shot to fame in the 1980s as the front man of Dead or Alive (they had a number one hit single, You Spin Me Round) is well known for his cosmetic surgery and straight-talking, feisty personality. So pairing him up with a man’s man like Neil Ruddock is car crash telly heaven.

Viewers will get to see pampered Pete experience “how life could’ve been if I wasn’t queer”. Famed for his bizarre fashion sense, Pete throws a new tantrum every five minutes and goes from one over the top diva strop to the next.

Burns was married to wife Lynne Corlett for more than 25 years, but the couple divorced in 2006. He married his long-term partner Michael on July 6th, 2007, at a civil ceremony in Central London. He is soon to appear in Pete’s PA, a new reality TV series on Living television in October. Seriously though. Who in their right mind would want to be this man’s PA? He makes Jade Goody seem stable!
