Over the weekend GLAAD held the second phase of its annual Media Awards in Los Angeles, and as expected a slew of Hollywood gay types and their supporters came out to celebrate the cause. The biggest buzz from the event will likely be that Kathy Griffin came out in a bikini ... and I gotta say, girlfriend looks good! Griffin and Bishop Gene Robinson were awarded special honors, and The L Word and Prop 8 The Musical received special recognitions in a night that honored Ellen DeGeneres, Desperate Housewives, The New Adventures of Old Christine, and many more for their contributions to visibility. They sure do have some of the worst lighting ever on that red carpet. I mean, Bruno looks like a troll in that picture, and I think he's kind of cute on DWTS. Plus everyone looks extra shiny for no apparent reason. What happened to the soft lighting on RuPaul's Drag Race? Why haven't we introduced this as an all media standard??
