At least we can expect more HoYay from Heroes
The hopes of seeing a gay character on Heroes may be looking discouraging but a look at the series' panel at Comic Con International, this weekend says we can, at least, expect to see more hoyay. Among the panel's highlights, were a moment where Sendhil Ramamurthy fakes a kiss with Greg Grunberg after Grunberg remarks on the AfterElton Hot 100 pick's beauty. At the panel, producer Jeph Loeb also told the audience, "You guys have gone on YouTube and... you take Peter, put him together with Nathan and then you play love music. We don't know why, but we've seen it." A few months ago the Heroes webcomic (which is getting published as a graphic novel) had a panel that looked a lot more like Peter was kissing Mohinder, with the panel's vagueness accomplished with an affectionate hand coincidentally covering up a telltale adam's apple. Considering how aware Heroes is of the part of their fanbase that enjoys the hoyay aspects, I don't think that panel was coincidental anymore.
Now, if only we could get an actual gay hero... Submitted by on Mon, 2007-07-30 16:56. |

I keep forgetting this show is on
One more time...the people
One more time...
the people at Heroes had NOTHING to do with how Zach was treated. They wanted to make him gay, but his manager made them change the storyline at the last minute. It's not their fault how things turned out.
HoYay?
It's a term for
It's a term for "Homoeroticism yay!"
It's basically when a show has homoerotic subtext, or something that is interpreted as homoerotic subtext.
HoYay
There are clips on YouTube where, if you're looking for it, it's hard to miss the HoYay they're talking about. Heroes HoYay fans have suspected that the show has been trying to stealthily cater to them and Loeb's comments suggests that may be the case.
oh geez
I have a thing for Greg Grunberg so it was still kinda hot but God forbid you go for the real funny and just straight up kiss the guy. I know I woulda!
