Avatar of the Week: James GF!

Yay! It's my turn to select an Avatar of the Week. Every week we pick out one of our members who catches our eye with an icon that's funny, creative or just generally makes us happy to look at it.

This week my eye couldn't help but notice the icon of:

James GF!

James is a graphic designer/illustrator from Brazil. You can check out his work at his sketch blog. I particularly adore the review icons, though I also appreciate how he can make my favorite Marvel superheroine look fabulous.

You can check out a small sample of James' illustration style in his icon, which uses a little bit of dark humor with its grim reaper and his cheerful, unsuspecting victim. The image makes me think of my favorite "Brilliant But Canceled" TV series, Dead Like Me, which only helps the selection.
