London theatergoers get Pedro Amoldovar and Stephen Fry in the upcoming season

London theatre The Old Vic announced its upcoming season yesterday and two of the more noteworthy projects involve openly gay storytellers we love.

In September, a stage adaptation of All About My Mother, the Oscar-winning film by Spanish director Pedro Almodovar. This is the first time an Amoldovar film has been adapted for an English-language performance. Previews for All About My Mother begin on August 25 with opening set for September 4.

Meanwhile, Stephen Fry has written the theatre's Christmas pantomime, an adaptation of Cinderella. To be honest, the bulk of what I know about that particular theatrical format comes from the Christmas episode of Clatterford but between that and reading Fry discussing the project this sounds like it could be an amazing blend between artist and medium.
