Pushing Daisies: Guess who's coming to the Pie Hole?

Televisionista has some preview pics of the November 28 episode of Pushing Daisies and guess who's making a guest appearance:

It's Mike White!

The openly bisexual writer/star of Chuck & Buck and son of Soulfource's Reverend Mel White appearing on a Bryan Fuller show? Someone knows how to make me happy.

He's not the only special guest star however:

Molly Shannon also shows up!

Hey, remember Cracking Up, the sitcom that was created by White, starred Shannon and was canceled by Fox in the same season as Fuller's Wonderfalls? Ah, synchronicity.

Shannon plays Dilly Balsam, a vindictive taffy shop owner who's determined to put The Pie Hole out of business. And you know she's got a mean streak - just look at what she makes her staff wear:

Is that a chorus of "San Francisco, open your golden gates" I hear?

Because of the writers' strike, there will only be one more new episode of Pushing Daisies after this one. I'm going to miss it, as Daisies is easily my favorite new show.
